I recently germed 10 seeds and put them in peat pellets and something went wrong because only 3 sprouted. This has never happend so I beleive I have bad pellets. Will my germed seeds do ok if I put them directly in 707? Please dont answer if you have "heard" or you "think" its ok. Experienced answers only please.

I dont know what 707 is, but if it is potting soil the answer is yes. I plant mine directly from germination to potting soil no problem.. As far as which way to put the seed I split the difference and put it in sideways because there seems to be a lot of disagreement which end goes down/up.

Thank you for trying to help. The reason I ask the question is because 707 (a soiless mix from Roots organics) contains guano, bone meal, kelp meal, soybean meal and feather meal and I was wondering if that may be a bit hot for seedlings. Whats the soil you use and whats your opinion now that you know what 707 is?

I've never used RO 707 but I put my seeds straight into my own fairly hot Fox Farms based super soil with no problems - I assume much hotter than RO 707. I've germed in MG as well with no problems.
Finally some useful info. Only took 10 posts. TYVM!! + Rep

Yes it's ok to put your germ seeds in Roots 707. I have done this plenty of times with great results. 707 is not a hot mix so u dont have to worry about hurting your young roots. I love using Root organics soil because of all the organics thats included in it, and i never have to worry about over nuting or hurting new vulnerable roots
