Is it ok to flower my plant after only 6 weeks veg

This is my first grow and I'm growing 4 Critical kush plants in a 1m2 tent.
Everything is going fine and they look amazing..
I have a pal who grows and sells on a big scale he's very handy to know..... Something he told me I'm just not too sure about he said I don't need to veg my plants for a full 8 weeks and I can switch to 12/12 after only 6 weeks veg.
We do things diffrently he's got a hydroponic system and grows clones from a mother plant in another room.... I don't know how true this is but he said he can harvest every 50 days... Please can somebody tell me is this B.S.... thanks..

You can 12/12 from seed if you want. Although i think the plant needs like 2 weeks before it will show sex. The longer you veg the higher possible yield. It is up to you.

He can cash crop short flowering clones early for less yield and potency and more harvests per year with the system you describe.

I have never had a truly potent plant finish in less than 10.

And like said above you can 12/12 from seed and the plant will start to show sex in 3-4 weeks but may be smaller from less hours of light.

And there is research and experience stating a mature veg plant can become more potent if vegged longer.

In my experience properly vegged plants. 5-6 weeks is ok. Have less stretch in flower and better stronger branches and stem.

I ran a pair of plants in each and I had to stake and tie the 12/12 plants to hold the branches up.

The vegged ones held up their own buds.

curious to know where you got this idea in the first place.
Harvesting any plant early here is a waste of efforts for me for the loss of effects.

I've never seen a detriment to vegging less except yield.
My happiest healthiest plants are the ones allowed to fully develop to sexual maturity before they are flowered.

the weed grown for love has always been a better experience than the weed grown for cash.
