Is it normal to droop and go back up in night and first daylight hours

Lemon skunk plant just turned 20 days old today. The last couple of days I've noticed that when the lights are on, the leaves seem to droop after about 6 hours. No discoloration.

Then they will perk back up a little in darkness. When the light comes back on, they perk even more, then start going down again.

I am using a 400 Watt Metal Halide in a 3wx2dx4h white painted cabinet, doors open. Currently in a 3 gallon container. Two 8 inch desk fans to cool, keeps between 70-80 degrees through night and day. Using 18/6 on the lights.

It seems like it grows the most in the first 3 hours after daylight starts, then it stops growing and the drooping starts around 6 hours. It's scary when they droop.

Fox Farm Ocean Forest, and Grow Big fert at 1/2 strength. I water about every 3 days and I transplanted from a 1 gallon to the current 3 gallon when I first noticed this drooping period about 3 days ago. The roots were coming out of the bottom of the 1 gallon container.

pH is 6.5-7.0. I think I'll be checking humidity, but need to purchase a meter tomorrow. I didn't originally think of humidity.

I increased the 400 MH light up to about 18 inches in case it's burning it, but heat didn't appear to be a problem. I'm pretty sure that 18 is too high and around 13-14 should be fine. I just want to be as safe as I can with my baby.

Is this normal for plant vegging? Could humidity be an issue, etc.?

ive noticed mine droop some right before lights off. im wondering if my lights too close.

It appears to be a normal part of the plants daytime/nightime habits. Happened at the exact same time again. Plant just woke up and is up and open to the light. She was tucking herself in at the end of the light duration.

Any plant I ever grew droops a little at night,then raises it's leaves to catch the light.

yea its the strain nothing to be alarmed about!! you will def be getting sum great buds!! trust me i know personally!! i love this strain!

Every strain I've ever grown droops a little at "night". If you pay attention to plants in general, you'll notice that a lot them do the same thing.

It's normal - they are more perky when they first wake up, and start to tire and droop the further they go into their day - just like us.

only thing that came to my mind to check would be the temp ...

I always thought that this was due to the plant trying to follow the sun(light). Without light they droop a little. Just a theory.

Seems to me she knows when nightime is, and is preparing. She is growing fast when the light comes on. I got my 400 MH down to 12.5 inches from her top, and so far, so good, knock on wood.
