Is it normal for buds to be fat as 2 thumbs 40 days of flowering?

Shoulda left those leaves on. Don't do that again. Leaves power bud production.

You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. Look what you learned though. If you defoliate, you get smaller buds. Next time try not doing that and see if you get bigger buds.

At least you have buds, and they look like they are doing well now.

In my opinion I think the plants are at their normal size.

Week 2-4 Lots of hairs
Week 4-5 Calyxs begin to grow from the hairs
Week 6 Calyx tips are visible and budding is beginning
Week 7+ Budding is in full effect

this whole thing is learning process. Stop worrying so much it's just a plant.

Best way to learn, trial and error. That's how I learned. Just keep it simple. You can't make a plant grow, all you can do is give it what it needs to grow itself.

No problem, don't worry about other comments.
Even though you should keep leaves on until their so shriveled or crispy that they serve no use but to attract pests and mold, then remove.

Everyones plants will be different with every setup, at week 8 if you don't have buds then come back and make a thread asking for opinions.
At the age and level of growing you have, they are fine, I'd even wager to say perfect.

Just gotta remember a lot of people on this site have been growing for 10+ years so they normally don't see plants like yours in their garden, they usually are well ahead because of experience, skill, and equipment.

I recommend getting some Snow Storm Ultra or Overdrive, they really work well and are cheap.
SSU will make your plant look like a very snowy Christmas morning, and OD will really bulk up your plants.

Also a tip, don't use molasses.
I personally think it does more harm than good, mainly a placebo.
In fact plants tend to yellow a lot faster and more when given it compared to those that aren't.

i dont measure ec .. :C i just watch out for owernuting

get a ec trunchen bud honest more important than a ph pen now a days,most nutes will be ok ph wise

if i buy a soil that is light fertilized and i measure the ec when i prepare the nut solution and than i water the plants... will the ec in the fertilized soil be the same as measured in the nut solution ?

you could always hit it with some paclo, Liver cancer is really not that big a deal

They should get a tad bigger but don't count on getting those massive buds that many new growers feel that they'll be getting. Just be happy with whatever you get and know you'll do better your next grow! My first grow ever I got 13 grams, my second I got an ounce and a half, and my third I yielded over 4 ounces from a single plant! Its all about perfecting the art!

Have you ever considered that the people on yourtube have bigger buds for the very simple reason that they actually have a clue what they're doing?

My friend......I'm guessing that in about six months from now after you get a few grows under your belt you'll look back at your obsession about bud size and realize that you drove people crazy. How many people have told you that your buds look fine....10?....15?

God....I hope you have a big dick cause if you don't you must have driven woman crazy in bed....."Is my dick as big as the other's you've seen?"
