Im about to cut her down and harvest in about a week and a half or so and was debating whether flushing is worth the time and effort. And if it is, what does it do and how long should I do it for? Any advice appreciated because im not afraid to admit im a noob

I always have. Make sure when flushing the plants don't sit in the water though, whats the point of flushing out excess salt buildup if they just sit in the mix all over again?

soil? organic no way!
water as normal for last 2 weeks.
Straight pure water -no additives.
Done.

The point of 'flushing' is to starve the plants of nutrients that won't be used before you cut them down. Some folks can 'taste' excess nutrients in the finished bud..

You can't actually flush a plant and remove nutrients that have already been absorbed.

This.
Watch your leaves and you will know if it's working.
