I went a head and continued flowering the clone I used to sex my plant, simply because I want to use it for my test subject when it came to harvesting. Here are a couple of shots.. I really don't have an estimated date on when she was started though.
Get way to magnify the trichomes. Read up on what stage you want to take it down. Trichome changes will define the kind of high it will produce. Some like to harvest when they are cloudy/milky, some prefer to wait until they are 70% amber.... Your choice of buzz...
Clearly if we was going off of trich color it'd be harvest time, right? Not really because this is the bud that pix was taken from....
See what I mean so trich color can be tricky and coming to understand what you like is a trial and error thing. Cause what I like may not be what you like. So harvest some bud at each stage until you finally figure out what you like.
Seriously I get clear to cloudy half way to harvest all the time now so trich color in and of itself is really mythical and don't mean much. It really comes down to personal preference. This plant is at 6 weeks and has been cloudy for 3 weeks, should turn amber this week but she still got bulking up to do.
Tricomes are always degrading. I get Tricomes in 2 weeks it's extremely retarded to think Tricomes only turn amber when the entire plant is finished. Tricomes are always growing and degrading...seriously guys, wtf!
Yeah, I mean it's pretty obvious that it's not doing well.. however, it's merely a clone I took to sex the plant.. the big girl is doing just fine. I was just curious to see if it's salvageable because I wanted to see, smell, and possibly taste how she is going to turn out before the big girl is finished.
hi @JohnCee
i'd wait at least another week and then try it. whether it's done or not, you'll still get a good idea of what the smoke will be like. good luck on your grow!
