My stuff has been drying for 2 full days with 2 small fans on in the tent. The big nugs are like crispy feeling and also the small nugs are. The stems dont snap easily. How do i know if its ready?
It's better to dry slower. You don't want too much airflow when you're drying them. You just want air exchange. And I don't wait for snapping stems, except maybe the tiny buds at the bottom. My stuff has been drying for 2 full days with 2 small fans on in the tent. So should i keep it another day without the fan on?It's better to dry slower. You don't want too much airflow when you're drying them. You just want air exchange. And I don't wait for snapping stems, except maybe the tiny buds at the bottom.
I also like to throw a hygrometer in each Mason jar to take all the guessing out of the buds RH.

wouldnt hurt anything. Youve likely already dried it enough that in needs very little fresh air.So should i keep it another day without the fan on?
So put it in the jars now then?wouldnt hurt anything. Youve likely already dried it enough that in needs very little fresh air.
If they are as dry as it sounds, I'd put them in jars now and just burp and check on them often. The moisture from the center will stabilize with the outside of the buds. A mini hygrometer really comes in handy though, especially when learning. So should i keep it another day without the fan on?
Yep, then I just leave the lid off for awhile, or put them in a paper bag if they're really moist. I'm starting to get a little better at judging the moisture content in the buds, but the hygrometers are still a must for me.A lot can be said for just feeling the buds. If you jar them and they are super wet again the next day, they need more drying time.
2 days is extremely fast! Get ready for the hay smell. My stuff has been drying for 2 full days with 2 small fans on in the tent. The big nugs are like crispy feeling and also the small nugs are. The stems dont snap easily. How do i know if its ready?

Ok I might try that then for maybe just 1 plantPut Some in a jar, and check on it the next day, and then see if it turned moist again, if it is still crispy then yes jar the rest. If the stuff in the jar over night gets very moist, then it’s not dry
When you clip the buds off the stem you'll have an even better idea how dry they actually are. And if they feel too moist throw them in a paper bag for a day.Ok I might try that then for maybe just 1 plant
Ok I'll probably wait till tomorrow or just try out 1 plant and see how it is tomorrowThis
Do not ruin the taste of your buds because you’re drying too fast. Just wait. That hay smell doesn’t go away and is there when you smoke.
Ok cool thanks I appreciate itWhen you clip the buds off the stem you'll have an even better idea how dry they actually are. And if they feel too moist throw them in a paper bag for a day.
It sounds like it's really dry where you live. It is here in CO. Even with a humidifier in my drying closet my buds dry fast. So I usually jar on day 3-4. Then I just burp the jars daily and monitor the RH in each jar. No hay smell with my system. I'd love it if I was able to make the dry last 2 weeks to be ready to jar but it's tough here.Ok cool thanks I appreciate it
