The more amber the more of a couch like buzz you'll have. More cloudy is an uplifting stonage. But sounds like there ready ..just what preference you have

well once they get all amber are they not passed the harvest stage and more into the dead and no thc. I mean thc in the trichs onlys ticks around for so long then it degrades. And amber in a indica is good but for only so long. I have to get my book out tomorrow and see what it says.
\ I would most definetaly say that 30 weeks of 12/12 would mean they are so far past done that they are gone.

he means, you know when its done by just knowing, you dont need to look at the trics to "know" when its done. experience is the key to just knowing.

sorry fdd,but i just had to clarify it for them:dunce:

Some even just cut the tops and let the rest still flower another 2 weeks, but i agree with Randy this way you will know next time which you prefer.

I think it really depends on the smoke. The first indica I grew I listened to everyone and let the bitch get quite a bit of amber and it was putting me to sleep so I chopped that strain a little (all cloudy no amber) and it was to much of an energetic high. It was good for a morning smoke though and for work. Kept me up at night though. So this time Im going to cut this one right when amber apears.

I guess my point is it all depends on the strain and what you are lookin for. If you think you are going to be growing this strain again I would test a bud in various stages to see whats best for you.

60/40 is probably much further along than most on here harvest......so kudos for making it this long :hump: Follow FDD's advice and let them go just a bit longer.

My only addition to this piece is once you do harvest, make sure you dry and cure properly. It's such a shame to care and nourish the girls for as long as we do to only screw up the final and most important phase of the grow. It makes me cringe when I read posts that say dry and cure only takes two weeks.

:peace: out
