Is is the usual suspects (CalMag? PH?), advice on a fussy plant please?

I'm taking a less is more approach this time as I've decided if I can't dial in the bare-ass minimum effort to get results I am happy with while keeping it fun and relaxing, I might have to pick a new hobby, plus I have had trouble getting advice when I add too much to the soil. I am having mixed results growing out two plants, one Barney's Farm Tangerine Dream, and the other called "Purple Light" from Zeus Beanz (I got these free from a local grow shop at a sale).

I am in 7gal pots with each having about 1 bag of FFOF with 1 added measured cup of powdered dolomite. I waited for the plants to be large enough to risk planting in the FFOF and went for it. I've now been vegging for about 3 months give or take (I don't track time). The plant on the right (Purple Light) is showing what I think might be MG deficiency? Maybe PH? I thought the dolomite would help with both CalMag and PH buffering of plain tap water.

The other day I top dressed 2tbsp of gaia green 4-4-4, and 4tbsp of the 2-8-4 flower per pot then watered in a 50% dose of Fox Farm Grow Big to give it a boost immediately. Wondering if I jumped the gun, or if there is more I should do?

Also, I'd like to keep topping the stems that are starting to shoot up while I continue to train the plants along the bamboo. Will topping too much eventually harm yield? I plan to thin out the tops to support the air flow and space I have, but I want to slow it down while I train it. Anything I should consider re: "Over-Topping"?

Thanks - Pic time!

I think he means the zebra striped leaves. It's like half black, half green. Is that normal?

First picture, bottom left
Those are the ones, the led is probably making it look black, it's hard for me to get regular lighting in there. It's really more dark green.

Looks good otherwise, but last time I tried to flower ignoring signs, I was really disappointed in the end.

Being all over the plant like it is, I’d guess that it’s the genetics showing their colors. A dip in night time temps can bring it out easily.
