Is ILGM good, their seeds' genetics are stable?

After spending over $500 on four different strains, we started some of the seeds but had over 25% not sprout. We've been growing for years and even tried tricks from the ILGM grow Bible. Some of the seeds that did crack, produced ill looking seedlings that are not as strong as their siblings that did look normal.

The packaging is a basic bubble envelope and the seeds are in tiny plastic bags inside. That is hardly enough protection to prevent damage during shipping. I've had *flat* tomato seeds sent in better packaging! They have to know this isn't safe, so I figured returning them would be easy since they brag about their 100% germination guarantee.

That said, I spent almost 2wks of back and forth via email, trying to get ILGM to send me a shipping label, so I could give them the bad seeds, and get better seeds in return. Claire from Customer Service said she is overseas so she can't do it, and no one at their US facility in California, could help either. If this happens to you, don't believe it! When a company gives a person the ability to generate shipping labels, that same person can create a label to go to any location, it's the same program/ system.

The entire return policy is shady and made me feel uncomfortable. You're sent seeds from a distributer in your country, to mail bad seeds to an overseas address, but can't be given prepaid shipping to do so, and you can't mention what's in the package???

Claire from Customer service was unhelpful then became rude and accusatory. When I asked to speak to someone else, she never did, and I didn't get help.

I had to dispute the charges on my Credit Card in order to get any resolution. Save yourself grief and don't waste your time with ILGM.
Try DC Seed Exchange next time you need seeds. I've been buying from Paul, the owner, for over 6 years now and the one and only time I had any issue with an order I was able to get in touch with him within hours and get it fixed in less than a day. He has free seeds for veterans in need and a discount for all veterans. He has some great breeders as well like Strayfox, Magic Strains, Gnome Automatics, Brisco's Bargain Beans, Mephisto Autos and a ton more. He has regular, feminized and autos and he just recently started taking credit cards which makes it super convenient to place an order. No more cash or money orders through the mail. He ships out same day almost every time I've ordered and I get my seeds in 2-3 days not weeks like if I order from overseas. Hope this helps you find a good reliable seed bank that will appreciate your business and take care of you.

Over the past couple of years I've grown quite a few from ILGM. During that time 3 orders of seeds were bad. The first time I just let it pass. The second time they replaced the seeds.

This time was the last straw. Bad seeds again. They replaced them with more bad seeds. They told me they ALWAYS replace with a different batch. Take a look at this picture and try to convince me they are a different batch.

All of the rest of the seeds grew and are in the ground. 6 Amnesia Haze, 3 Big Bud, and 2 Chocolope. The sativas are over 2 feet and the indicas are 1.5 feet.

The email they sent me as much as said I don't know how to start a seed. I am a farmer. I live on a farm and have since 1977. I know how to start seeds.

I do have to say that the good seeds came from ILGM, too. Their seeds that grow well do a good job. I'm just pissed that I have to have the additional cost and work for an indoor grow so that each MMJ
patient can have their own graden plus lose the cost of the seeds.

Thanks, but I'll buy somewhere else next time.

These Critical Mass plants sound like your plants. Until they can convince me that these seeds are different batches I'll just consider them to be liers.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ILGM.

ilgm Bruce banner 4 plants same pots, soil, lights, and tent. All different. 2 of 4 banana kush germinated. One has alternating branches and flowers. 2 of 10 blue cheese germinated. 1 BC germinated 2nd try. I have 3 cultivars growing. It looks like 6. Did the Banner get belted by Gamma rays? It's the money $$ but man 45 days in I might just yank 3 to make room for Barneys Farm Zkittles. Please tell me I'm not wasting more time and money. There seems to be less bad reveiws of Barney's. Any major problems with Barney's?

ILGM is going on their past reputation. They have a big enough base that they can get away with selling junk for a long time.

I don't know about Barney's. I have just quit buying from ILGM after the last order. I bought from Diet Durbin from Seedsman right after harvast.Tried to grow one indoors but made a bad mastake. I used my grow room to dry my plants and the last one I brough in had afids. Before I found them the next day the plant was almost eaten alive. That that didn't get eaten was stressed so bad that it was total seeds. Only got enough to make 3.8 grams of oil from the whole thing.

That plant was doing great until the afids came.Diet Durbin THCV:THC has 7% each of THCV and THC. Also up to 5% CBD. It should be good for diabites and we have just had a coupl family menbers have high A1C.

Yea man it's a shame. My first run of sour diesel autos did fine for my first "real" indoor grow. Did I get lucky? I had 3 out of 9 sour come out great. I didn't LST and they were like small Christmas trees. Nice tops, pinecone size on the three. The rest were all over the place. I figured it was me. I got a decent yield and was thrilled with my first harvest. Second round. I already told you. I think it's a crap shoot. A good reason for me to start thinking about regular photoperiods. I have to find a decent cultivar, "chuck some pollen" and figure this shit out. Sorry about those stinking aphids. I've been lucky so far.

Conspiracy theory, Give you good seeds on your first grow. Second time give you shitty seeds and tell you to sign up to the forum, read the grow guides (Really just a sales pitch. some useful info). Start a journal so that when your leaves turn yellow, we can sell you our nutrient line. jeeze did I fall for it. At least I know better than to waste money on fertilizer specially designed for each stage of the plants life cycle. Something like that. Cannabis gets more attention than any other plant I've come across. It's not hard to grow at all. Really. I think people tend to over think it. If you grow a lot of plants, you won't pay too much attention to any one plant and wind up killing it with good intentions. Relax, let it grow. Just a fun thought I thought I'd share. Moving on........

They're a bulk seed place that offers everything under the sun related to cannibas growing. These kinda places prey on new growers. I'm not saying they're bad, but it is what it is. The chick that did their info videos was hot though.

You are absolutly right over thiking it.

My mistake this year was going with a more "modern" super soil. I cost a lot of money and I still had to add nutes. From now on I'm going back to Sub Cools original recipe. The out door grows get manure and compost. Mostly donkey, goat and chicken manure and compost made from leaves and grass clippings.

don't like their quality of seeds, if you can germ more than 2 out of 5 you're the luckiest person ever

It's a shame because the few plants that worked out, came out fantastic. The one Bruce Banner out of four is probably the best plant I grew so far. I got three Banana Kush out of eight, maybe. The Blue Cheese was two good ones out of ten, but they sent me replacements. I guess I got two free plants. I can't complain about the plants that worked out at all. Too many misses. It's like having the best employee ever but you never know when he's calling out sick. Unreliable.
Barney's Farm seems to be working out fine so far. Fast germinating autos. Healthy plants and a good size for about 15 days.
Multiverse Beans sent me those and freebees from ERRORS seeds called "Fruit" No other description. I love it. No expectations, just weed. I

I don't get people buying soil to grow outdoors.

I spend money but it's driving out the country side and buying a few bags of horse manure off the side of the road. Drive to the beach collect a couple wheelbarrows of kelp and sand. Go home and mix it all together and it's the best goddamn mix for growing weed outdoors. I've fluffed it out with a bag of cheap potting mix in the past.

I know this thread is over a year old , but I grew several strains outdoors from them last year , and all of it was phenomenal in my eyes . The gorilla glue tested out to 24% and had some of the dankest resin covered nugs I’ve ever seen . Normally outdoor here in the north east , harvests fluffy , succumbs to bud rot , PM , etc . This gorilla glue was impervious , and honestly you couldn’t tell that this was grown outdoor whatsoever . The Bruce banner , being sativa dominant took quite awhile to finish , but it also tested 23% . My homegrown sat in first place for 4 weeks at the dispensary before someone brought in the nicest cafe racer I’ve ever seen .

I’d like to add that I lost 400 dollars worth of seeds in a house fire , my wife went out of her way to email ILGM to see if maybe she could get me some freebies or some sort of discount , they ended up giving me a 200$ off my next order ..

the genetics have all been excellent for me and I’ve never had a seed not sprout , I’ve also grown Barney’s amnesia haze , and had only 2 germinate out of 10 . It’s honestly a crap shoot no matter where you go - thankfully I’ve never had to contact customer service for seeds not popping , but if not for the house fire I’d still be growing their gorilla glue , Bruce banner , sunset sherbet , and zkittles ..

For autos , I’ve bought over 200 beans from 420fastbuds and I’ve never once had a seed that didn’t germinate ! I grew some purple lemonade auto last year that was so purple it was almost black .. also did a massive run of gorilla zkittlez and that was a big hit also .

rqs seeds did well for me ,

greenhouse seed company strain hunter line was some of the worst seeds I’ve ever purchased. I didn’t end up with a 10% germination rate on several strains including banana punch , wonder pie , velvet moon and a few others..

my first seed purchase online came 15 years ago . That was a power pack from marijuana seeds DOT NL

They came discreetly packaged behind a cd case , and that was also some very nice nug. Crystal , ice and white widow ..

I’m about to do a massive pheno hunt on some greasy runtz I came across in a Lb , I have 100 seeds and the goal is to wind up with a few amazing phenos to keep rocking and stabilize down the road
