my favorite by far is ebb and flow. I don't care for soil much. my first grow was hydroponic. I picked it up pretty fast for someone who never grew anything before, not even a house plant. after 8 weeks of veg, I finally have everything right, and the plants are at their best. 1 inch vertical growth a day. moving the lights up a few times every day. adding water and nutes twice a week. it's so much more fun for me to do hydro. there's just no other way to go, gotta do it.

400 watt mh i would say hydro is pointless without hid's
I hope tussel didn't set himself up to be torn apart on his test methods. lol. if they are side by side, I don't think light would be the problem. different genetics maybe.

frm personal experience, i grew 2 plants one in soil, other in hydro, the soil took longer 2 finish but the weed was def worth it they both got me as high as eachother but the soil grown weed was a little more fullbodied
E S u r right taste and potency r genetic but it is much harder 2 find the micronutrients in soil, and manure present in hydro or aero ferts that allow 4 this taste, and from what i read from an aero growers thread, when he tried 2 put molasses in his setup it clogged everything up and killed 2 of he's plants in1 day

I'm doing hydro with cfl's
an inch a day vertical must just be in my head. maybe I'm perma-stoned and don't realize it.

Hmmm strange, your light must live in another galaxy. that thing should be lookin like the other. Same amount of lighint for both?
Someone should do a clone expirement, thatd be perfect.
I've been pretty reckless with keeping my grow secret. posting pics online is the only thing I've managed to hold back. lol
I am having trouble getting light to the middle and bottom of the plants, but they are really growing together now too. I need a second table to get them separated better. they are just random bag seed, but looking really good and really full. can't wait to see some flowers. there is where I admit my setup isn't very good. I don't have enough light for flowering.

yes frm personal experience on skunk #1
with the hydro i was very aware i was smoking a plant
but with the soil the smoke was very strong a sour musk with a tinge of sweetness, kinda like pink lemonade.
both were cured 4 a month no mold probs

you are right a clone experiment would be more accurate but at the time i was growin a new mother so shoot me and i do use cfls to veg my mother but hps all the way for flowering not that cfls cant do it but i prefer to use hps dont be a dick someone wanted to see a comparison i did one awhile back when i was first switching to hydro

i would get an hps and use the cfls to light those lower parts or train em right so they grow at the same hight

just you wait! I'll do a few side by side tests. gotta get at least a single grow under my belt before I can be credited with good tests. 100% led grow is in my future, and I'll make it work.
