Is HPS with a Hortalux Bulb ok For Vegging?

Ok I know that usually you should use a metal halide for vegging and then switch to a HPS for the veg.

Well I got a 600 system going with a Hortalux bulb on 22 hr for my vegging in prep to put outside in May.

I am also running a 400 metal halid in the same room in hopes of balancing light out?

Will this setup work good or not?

Thanks

It will be fine. People report nodes are more spaced out when vegging with HPS but I haven't seen a significant difference.

Oh yea, it'll work out great :)

Especially since your combing mh and hps.

Your getting the full meal spectrum.

By the way, Hortilux is top notch! :hump:

I've heard conflicting things about having both spectrums - some people say that the two light sources will not "add", and that any lower spectrum or wattage light will be overpowered and nullified by the higher power light.
