looks quite done to me bro...how can any more growth happen w/ no green leaves anyways?
The last week or 2 new growth doesn't happen anyway. Just the trichs mature and you get a chance to flush....

To the OP, the plant looks great, but there is really no way to know for sure if it's done unless you get it under a scope to check the trichs. If you don't have one my rule is, "if it looks done... then give it another week."

I see a small amount of amber trichs, if you wanted you could let her go another 3 days or so just to make sure, but she looks nice and ready to me.

I believe its better to harvest an hour or two before your light comes on because thats when all the nutrients are in the roots and about to make their way back up to the leaves to start the daily photosynthesis cycle over. I think i read this in high times but i may have read it here somewhere on the boards so i wouldn't take it as the gospel truth...Ill see if i can find more info to support the hypothesis.

actually i beleive the theory is harvesting before the light comes on is correct because uv rays harm thc, after ur 12 hr dark period they are at their highest thc levels of the day as they will start to dimish once the light comes on and they are hit with harmful uv rays.

Some of those pics the trichomes look all cloudy, they dont really have the amber hue, but it does look good and it looks pretty done to me. Good job. Some strains do benefit from a 36 hr dark period, it can increase thc levels by 30 percent or so. It was shown in an experiment at a university in europe, done for/with the medical pharmacies in holland or somewhere like that. Nutrients dont go to the roots at night.

ok thank you, next time I'll try 36 hr dark before harvest. actually I have 4 more plants, nearly done, I can try on them, I ll took the photos before and after dark and upload.

I forgot to mention how/why the 36 hr dark period works. Thc is basically the plants way of protecting itself from harmful uv rays from the sun, so the level gets broken down as the day progresses, at night/in the dark their is no sun/light to break down thc. so the levels can build up and be ready for the next day. Once its levels reach their max(personally i sometimes do 24-30 hrs and not 36 hrs. After an extra 12 hr or 16hr dark period along with the normal 12 hr dark period it would get i think the levels should be maxed out already and giving it more time/dark pointless.(so 24-30 hrs of straight darkness then chop). They didnt try any with other lengths of dark time in the study unfortunately.
