just that all "forums" and platforms have a lot of similarities...anonymity being what it is, people will expose their true beliefs a lot more easily than they will in an in person conversation. they will more "honestly", viciously criticize those they don't agree with, and are more likely to go on the attack with those that criticize them.

Aye that's the modern internet. Full of vitriol and strawman attacks. I try my very best to stay out of conversations like that these days. Popping them on ignore for a few days does the trick. Multiple offenders I just bin and forget.
