Yeah I use R/O water myself and I have to use cal-mag plus. It's a must if you are doing distilled or R/O.
week 9 veg purple Afghan
2 weeks in 5 gsl
Containers vpd 1-1.2
Leaf temp 77 day 72 night room temps 82
300 watt electric sky dimmed 190 watts 4 ft from canopy
Been running distilled water.
Saw mag def. and a little calcium used Botanicare ca mg plus at 250 ppm and it seemed to make things worse but I could have been wrong.
also my soil ph is over 7.
Trying to get it down over the next weeks watering cycle.
Thanks coast of Maine.
What do you think? Is my distilled screwing me?
Did I not use the correct amount of camg to thwart deficiency? Should I use camg every watering moving forward?
This strain has seemed very Nute sensitive

Ok I’ve been using distilled water...seems to be working ok..I was asked to bring back some purified infant water.. so I brought some for the baby.. I noticed it had calcium.. magnesium and one other element.. I’ll take a picture of the label.. I may start using it...

Rain/snow water 15 ppm max, never add cal/mag etc. if you have the space to get that soil alive and enriched, just add water. IMO the canoe leaf is from over watering, check the porousity of your soil or use a moisture meter or the lift method to allow the soil to dry out some between waterings. Some plants will take more water than others in the same media. Every strain and plant has a 'sweet spot'. By all means if you use a straight bagged soil, use water with calcium mag and suphur, like most wellwater around here. Finish your plants, keep and grow the soil. Lots of growers use ff soil as a base on the site.

The average tap water that passes through a good charcoal filter is fine. Ill post the link to the filter I use. These are super easy to install and will make your tap water as good as 99% of the bottled water out there. And they last for at least 5 years so well worth the cost.
