hello again people i was thinking of usein deep water culture or oxy pots but just read that there hard work is this true and whats the differants between oxy pots and deep water culture and help would be great thanks

well thats good to know so how often would you have to change water ect and is it true that you can only use half strenth nutes coz they drink more water than they do nutes and ul be left with a toxic amount of nutes in the bottom of the bucket? It has become one of the easiest ways to grow. I have Ebb and Flow, and next time I will probably give DWC a try.
so if i use this system the i can use full strenth nutes yea bro and whats the diffrants between dwc and oxy pots?I use DWC and it seems to work great for me. It is just as easy to maintain as any reservoir for any system. The big difference is that your plants can eat as much as they need to. Instead of only when you feed them.
thanks bro and how many times a week do u top the bucket up bro when in full flower?I change my water once a weak. I use the recommended amount per gallon that my nuts say. A general rule of thumb that I use is to replenish 1/4 of the nutes for every gallon the plants drink. Then put a full dose when I change the Res.
ok people thanks for the help im goin to give this ago an see how it goes!Oxy pots are DWC... just that the air pumps sit inside the resevoir, like a water pump... I think most people that do DWC don't have submersible air pumps.
I've heard of plants drinking a gallon of water a day in later flower.
For the life of me, can't understand that transition. It has become one of the easiest ways to grow. I have Ebb and Flow, and next time I will probably give DWC a try.
whats ebo flow then bro?For the life of me, can't understand that transition.
I went from DWC to E&F, and would never, ever, ever think of going back.
so basicaly its like a NFT system yea bro?ebb flow is when you have your plants in a tray and then flood the tray with water/nutes and then let it drain back into the reservoir. Usually uses rock wool and large amounts of hydroton. People have been using this method for a long time and is also effective. This set up can be a little more pricey.
No, not really.so basicaly its like a NFT system yea bro?![]()
No, research it.so basicaly its like a NFT system yea bro?![]()

There's not another hydro system as simple, foolproof, and as little work as E&F.It seems to me it would bemuch easier to have a large root system with DWC. Plus the constant feeding as opposed to 3 to 5 feedings a day.
Forgive me for the link drop, but here is my E&F.

I am have good results, but the roots only fill the grow containers. I am finding blocking the light to the tray to be problematic.
Algea and no external root growth are resulting. I think in DWC with light proof buckets you can grow huge (hungry) roots. If you want to run different nutes for different plants you can. My E&F has one res. it makes perpetual more difficult.
It seems like everyone has better or worst luck with each system type. That's why I would never stand on a soap box and say one was the best. There will always be someone with better resluts than you. Just seems to be the way it is.
Best of luck and best of luck to the OP. There are lots of good people on here to help you with what ever method you grow.
does anyone know where i can get these 20l black buckets to make this DWC?ok people thanks for the help im goin to give this ago an see how it goes!![]()
