Is College Worth It?

But here's the thing. In my day, a degree in a non-basketweaving major meant good confidence of landing a career-track job. That's no longer the case, and one needs to balance the certain loss of very much money now ... against the uncertain and shrinking prospect of a well-paying career or position later. cn

You know what i was referring to bear. You dont need a degree for certain fields, but experience without a degree sucks. Ive lost out on several strength and conditioning jobs at high schools cause i still dont have degree, even though i have 5.5 years of experience in training elite high school athletes. I cant wait till i get my degree in May.

One other thing is that a lot of the time people get strait A's all through college, have a good major in a good field, and then they can't find a job opening because they don't have any experience actually doing what they studied to do. So I think a good thing to do would be to go tell a place that youd like to work in the future that you are going to school for what their company does and ask if there are any lower jobs in the place(or volunteer if you want to) so you can learn what its all about and possibly get a job there as your major once you learn what its all about from experience. '

I think there are ways to make college worth it. I don't see anything wrong with going..

Look, i don't have a college degree but have managed many who did. When the rubber meets the road, a boss wants someone who will get the job done. All the degree does is get more people to give you a chance to prove yourself.
