I want to know if a 600w in a cooltube mounted lengthwise in a 6 ft L x 2 ft W will I have enough power reaching the corners of the room? I am concerned that a 6 foot wide footprint is too much...

IMO no thats not enough. The 600 works best for a 3x4 in my experiance. In your case 2x4 would be better for you. But in the 2x6 the edges of your grow on the 6 foot side will be not to lighted to well. Or you could always add a few CFLS on the border, or another 400 watt?

the 600 will have trouble hitting the corners in a cooltube the tube cuts the light off and doesnt let it reflect out the tubing sides very well a different reflector might cover the room or you could just supplement with CFLs in the corners

A light mover really isn't a feasible idea right now, its expensive plus it wouldn't really fit. Right now the 600 is on a 3x2 screen so I have 100watts/sqft as it is. I don't know what I will do when I need to fill this space I'll probably have to pick up another 400 or something. I also need to get a tent for a veg chamber as I'm using the 6x2 for both now

p.s. im planning an op like Xare's so probably 15-20 SOG
