Is a 300x microscopre to much to see the tricomes?

I was planning on buying one of those $30 kids microscope sets they have a 300x 600x and 900x lenses. I had one when I was young so I know they work great but is 300x overkill? Will it zoom in to far?

i use a 30x microscope and its perfect. with this in mind i think 300x would be way overkill. i got mine on ebay for about 10 bucks

that could be a bit much. go to radio shack and buy a pocket microscope... they're like 10 dollars

Or get a 420 scope for 25 bucks. Zooms from 60x to 100x with LED light. Works great for me!

300x would work great...for looking at individual trichs. Get something in the 20x-100x range. I use a scope for looking at negatives. I like it because the focal distance is fixed so I can touch it to the bud and see the trichs clearly. No idea what the real name for it is other than it has the word negative in it.
