Is a 150 ww HPS too much for this?

Well, the HPS light has a ballast, then that has a entry point for your AC powercord, and you run the AC cord from that to the wall.

EDIT..Not all HPS lights come witht he Ballast. Most of the time you have to get them seperate. The light he is talking about, on the E-Conolight webiste has a ballast, you just need the AC cord
