Is 6 plants too much?

I have 6 plants that are all about 1 1/2 feet tall. I just recently put them into flowering. They still have about a foot or so to grow. My question is this: How many plants can I put underneath my 400watt hps and get a good yield? Be straight with me!!!

It more of a matter of how much space they'll take. What's your pot size?

you should yield from 4-14 oz.. Maybe more but thats should be easily doable..

I am using 3 gallon pots and bags..

This depends on the size of your growing area and pots.. I grow in the roof / attic with a 400 w hps in a 2 mtre high by 1.4 mtr length the width is about 2 metres going up in a pyramid shape. I could comfortably grow 6 - 8 plants no worries with my light. I choose to only grow 4 - 5 plants max this way more light gets around the lower branches. So for others on here to say 4, 5, 10 oz's etc a little over the top with out looking at all of the ins and outs of the set up
