Is 5000 Fluorescent lumens be enough for six seedlings/clones?

Will 5000 lumens from three t4 20" and two 18" flourescents be enough for a small seedling/clone box? I will be only using it for six seedlings/clones and the box is only like one foot wide one foot long and 3 feet tall but the seedlings are propped up closer to the lights.

Also I will only be keeping the seedlings/clones in this box for three weeks before moving them into the veg room. Is there enough lumens (5000) to support six seedlings/clones for three weeks?

you will be ok with the light but thats a pretty small box. also the light will not get you too far but like you said it's only for 3 weeks.

how much lumens is required for veg ? approximate ? like 10,000 ?

10,000 for flowering
i think youd be very happy w/ somewhere between 6-8000 for 6-plant veg... depending on how tall you want them to be.... taller they get the further the lower leaves get from any usable light, especially w/ floro....... keep the floros damn near touching the tops of your plants from veging through flower

seedling 375 foot-candles 16-24hrs of light
clone 375 foot candles 18-24
vegetative 2500 foot candles 18
flowering 10,000 foot candles 12

*these guidlines will give plants all the light they need to form dense buds.
less light will often cause looser, less compact buds to form
*one lumen is = the amount of light emitted by one candle that falls
on 1sq/ft of surface 1 foot away.

yes... 900 clones can be sustained by 6 43 watt cfls..

so with that said .... 1 plant in veg cycle needs 2500 lumens ?

no not at all
the recommendation you always are hearing about a certain number of lumens needed per plant is really only vital during the flowering stage of growth. During cloning, seedling, vegging and keeping a mother.... they can share alot of the same space and light.
