is 2 42W CFL's enough light?

I only have one plant and it's a seedling right now.
I only have the one 42W going right now, should I have them both going?

And is it going to be enough light for vegetative and flowering growth (only 1 plant)

Add the second light by week 3 and get both of them as close to the plant as you can without burning it. That should get you through veg but you'll need to add more light for best results during flowering. If it were me, I'd try to have at least 150 watts on it by that point. You'll need the the warmer color spectrum for flowering too(2700k).

My minimal experience, that is fine for one plant, until it gets so tall that not all the light hits it. Then you need to add another light just to reach it all. But in general, 1 small plant seems fine with 1 42w CFL as long all areas are getting light. Again, this is for a small plant. EDIT: I used 3 CFLs on a 4 ft" tall plant, but 1 CFL might sustain one of those 12/12 1oz grows.

i would recomend 24/7 to as that will help but atleast get 2 more 2700k when you start to flower

Cool, thanks guys.
My plant is only 3 days old, so I'll just keep going with the 1 42W and once I notice it getting big, I'll get the other one going too.

Buy switching it to 24/7 its a proven fact that the growth is 33% faster than 20/4 or 18/6 you are giving it time to stretch during the lights out as i dont prefer that until flower as it will get plenty of that plus it will keep your internodes short and fast with rapid branching im in week 7 and still in 24/7 until week 9 thats just my opinion i have had great success with it alot of people would disagree but i really like thick bushy plants not the tall skinny ones

Show me this proof talon.
In my experience 24/7 light has turned some plants into defectives.
IE: One leaf point instead of 5 leaf points, scrawny, etc

As soon as defectives were put into 18/6 they reverted to normal growth.

I thought the internal clock of the plants are on a 24 hour clock. I mean, otherwise you could do 24 on/24 off....or 6 on/6 off all day.
