Is 12x7 gallon pots in 5x5 under 750w LED too many?

Hello! I'm busy vegging 12 plants in my 5x5 foot tent and I'm planning to eventually have them in 7 gallon smart pots using super soil.

Does this sound like too many plants and too much soil for the area? Thanks! The strains are super skunk, pineapple and Northern lights for what it's worth!

I agree that 12 is a tight fit.

After 2-3 weeks of vegging, maybe start to get rid of your smallest, runtiest plant. 1 each week until you're down to 9 nice plants.

Stragglers never seem to catch up and whack plants just take up space and effort that is better used on strong plants.

These are plants, not your girlfriend, Don't get attached, be ruthless!

And whatever you decide to do, don't cut clones from the smallest, weakest plants.

It all depends on veg time.

I have 9 plants in a 4x4 and i veg for 3ish weeks. Though im in soil and i have low humidity issues in veg so i veg relatively slowly.
I think you could get away with 12 plants in a 5x5 but you'd probably only need about a 2 week veg.

You could easily do more plants in smaller pots and reduce the veg time even more. Its really just about canopy & veg management.
Its sort of sacrilegious but if you ever over veg, you can also just cut back the plants, give them a few days to heal and then flip them.

Yes he challenges anyone and everyone to a grow off. He claims he can put grow anyone because he locked himself in his basement away from his family for 9 months to learn how to grow. Now he’s a grow master.
and he beats everyone with one huge pot? have you taken him up on the challenge?
