Sorry bud, Uncle al took a full time job with an advocacy group and doesnt really come by the boards anymore. However his threads are an amazing welath of information with pretty much all your standard questions asked several times.
On top of the get a harvest every 2 weeks thread you should also have a read through his AL b FAQt.
Al was one of the most helpful competant growers i've had to pleasure of communicating with, there are a ton of helpful people on this site, but none with the experience, skill and willingness to help of uncle al.

Nice set up. One of the BEST GROWS shown on this site easily because how efficient that type of set up is. Too many people waste soooo much room and lights with big plants. Why waste the room for skimpy buds on the bottom of big plants. Very nice setup, hopefully people see this and learn from it. +rep.

Thanks for the kudos Proph...I did the big plant thing at first and went for The Al B. route and found it more efficient and more productive.

I have to grow from seeds for the first grow so im going to get 25 12 gallon pots and just grow in those harvest whatever it gives me and from that grow i'll separate 5 mothers as donors for my SoG next round. Do you think letting them veg and then flowering them i could get 3-4 oz out of 1 plant under 3x1000 watt HPS

Sure you could, if you veg long enough. But do you realise how much 12 gallons of soil actually is? Its gonna cost you hundreds of dollars to fill 25 of them with a decent mix.
You might want to reconsider container size, personally i wouldnt go any bigger than 5 gallons.
Just my 2 pennies.

Sure, anythings is possible. Depends mainly on two things in my opinion. Genetics of the seeds and YOU. You can have great genetics but if you don't care for them enough or correctly to bring out their full potential you will be let down.. I did a shit load of reading and asking questions and more reading before I started growing and to tell the truth I am still learning new things on these forums every day. And never be afraid to ask any question no matter how dumb you think it is....cause the only dumb question is the one you don't ask!!! That is why I had a semi-successfull first ever grow.Everyone is here to help everyone and share what knowledge they have with one another...Good luck with your gro Bro.

I think he meant to trim the lower 2/3rd of the plant and just leave the top 1/3rd to grow fatter since the roots push all the nutrients upward..i think thats what it is..

The way I do it is start with healthy, robust clones with solid root formation that is about 6-8 inchs tall from my aerocloner and put into my netpots and transfer to my flower room. After a week, I trim the lower 1/3 and wait about another week and trim the larger fan leaves off. And every cpl days as the remaiming fan leaves get bigger I trim them off leaving the smaller one and thats it.

so just trim from bottom up to leave the top cola growing? Seems easy. I've always wanted to try that but to he honest I get scared to cut my plants. I fear killing them.

you better consider the type of risk you are taking growing so many. you should look up state lawn and find out how many years you can get . and 200 im pretty sure thats fed i have a friend in the fed joint no fun they tranported him to a prison over a 1000 miles away.
