I'm guessing you didn't read that part in her first post about her being a minivan-driving soccer MOM and military WIFE...That means she's a woman...unless "he" is from Cah-lee-four-knee-uh or Massachusetts (which she is obviously not from either but rather from the Panhandle).

Welcome to RIU.org! The people here are (for the most part) friendly and informative, and will do their best to answer any questions you may have, and since there's a lot of us here, your question will get answers quickly.

Just a word of advice...if you happen to experience any problems along the way (yellowing/browning of leaves, purpling of stems, drooping, etc.) and you want to ask about it, try to be as descriptive as possible about what you've been doing to the plant (watering schedule, lighting, soil choice, nutrients added, use of a fan, etc.) and try to include pictures of the problem. The more information we have, the better...We're here to give advice and get it as well, but you need to help us help you if you need help.

Yes, I did watch weeds, season 1 and 2 but with gas prices climbing and my gas sucking van, I had to downgrade my cable so now I have to wait to rent it from netflix.

Its alot easier than you think it will be. I started a few seeds in a wet paper towel and almost two months later I am where I am today. I am a pretty big newb as well but the biggest mistake i see people make on here is they use way to many nutes and burn their plants, and then post a pic asking what they can do to fix it. I only use organic fertilizer and I just started it on mine and only use once a week. I am attaching a pic of my grow to show my lighting set up i also have two more CFLs that I took down for photo purposes. I would reccomend a closet conversion so the kids dont see

I think I am going to do this inthe basement. It is semi-finished. I will just put a lock on it so the kids wont go down.

Good choice for a 'townhouse'. You may want to view some of the DIY threads. Folks have shown a lot af 'easy' things you can make to put your plants on or in, shown ways to ventilate etc. VV
