Ok so using 4 3500k Citi 1818s with the meanwell hlg 185 driver woukd that be a too much for a 2x2 tent?ill have to check stock ive been blindly filling orders and need to go over all inventory. im pretty sure i have quite a few 3500k 80 and a handful of 90. def have em in 1818
FWIW, I ran 4x B3590 (3k) on a 185-1400b driver in a 2x2x3', no optics. Active cooled, and as close to the ceiling as possible.Ok so using 4 3500k Citi 1818s with the meanwell hlg 185 driver woukd that be a too much for a 2x2 tent?
What type of heatsink were you using?FWIW, I ran 4x B3590 (3k) on a 185-1400b driver in a 2x2x3', no optics. Active cooled, and as close to the ceiling as possible.
I ended up running it dimmed down quite a bit, in the 100w range. I think 700 or 1050ma would have been fine for my situation. 4 efficient COBs is a lot of light in a 2x2 when run above 1 amp. If you're force feeding and using CO2, you can probably run them hotter than me. But, I did have my best plant and harvest to date with this ~100w 4x 3590 setup.
YMMV.
Arctic Alpine 64 GT Rev 2 - CPU coolers good for up to ~70w? Cheap, and effective. What type of heatsink were you using?
Looking at your setup did you not bolt the heatsink and cob to your frame?Arctic Alpine 64 GT Rev 2 - CPU coolers good for up to ~70w? Cheap, and effective.
For my low clearance (3' ceiling), I think active cooling helped the situation. With more clearance I'd no doubt go with ~105-140mm pin sinks (depending on wattage pref).
