its a good choice if you want onboard dimming

240-54B offers remote dimming but you lose a little output current
Thanks for your reply, i got them both the 48a is planned to use with 2 veros i am now just thinking that the 240 54b is better used for two of these citizen cobs, cause of the limited output on one.

I'm just wondering where I should purchase the frames for these diy LEDs, would any Lowe's or home Depot be sufficient or are online retailers more likely to have what I need for a cob setup? Likely to make the purchase tommorow or monday. Should I pm you CobKits?

no need to pm, email is better

home depot and lowes have aluminum but its usually cheaper to call up teh local metal supply place and tell them you want 3/4" x 1/8" 6063 aluminum angle cut to length. they generally cut fro free or cheap

Bobby can I drive a constant current buck driver like the Mean Well LDD-700HW off of a constant voltage HLG-185H-24 ?

I'm looking for a way to add a 700 ma constant current string of deep reds\UVAs to supplement a couple of Samsung strips without using a second HLG driver as the buck driver is a lot cheaper.

If that works can I run the deep reds\UVA string in parallel to the Samsung strips or do I have to run them in series ?

Making progress on getting us frame kits. My first successful program on the mill

We were in the same place as you back in 1986. I recommend getting the wood chips out of there before adding coolant. Most materials don't expand when contacted by the coolant, wood does, and it can get into small spaces. I'm not saying drilling a couple 1/8" holes will hurt but not a good idea on a large scale. The rule of thumb in steel when using a high speed steel drill is the chips should never be turning color as the come off the bit, if so you are turning at too high an rpm, alum there is no color change, hard to go too fast. We don't machine any wood in our cnc's. There is also a soft plastic material you can buy to test your programs, made just for that, or just machine "air" you can get a pretty good idea if things look ok. Also using the feed override to slow down helps when proving the prog.
