So I was just about to place my order for 8 3500k gen 6 1212's because that was practically all you had left in gen 6 3500 and below for my new flowering light. Then they were removed from my cart and are out of stock.

Now what? I bought 10 new P4 heatsinks with fans that are a little punier than I envisioned but should be adequate for a 1212 @ <=50w. Wouldn't trust anything bigger so I don't think I'm gonna move up to 1818's

Am I going to cry myself to sleep at night if I order gen 5's instead of gen 6's in 2700-3000k?

was moving stuff around splitting gen 5 and gen 6 pages and updating inventory. forgot to update gen6 80cri inventory

i have in gen 6:
(2) 3500k 80 cri - 60 more landing in next few days, so i made them backorderable
(38 ) 3500k 90cri

plenty of both in 1216 - that would be the next step up before 1216

Well crap, I panicked and bought 8 of the gen 5s in 2700 and 3000k. Ah well, I really wanted some diversity anyway as I'm adding 8 1212's to existing 3 x Vero 29 gen 7's in 3500k.

dunno whats up with first cob, did you lay your soldering iron on that spot?

2nd cob is shot you broke the pad off and have no conneciton to the array

in this case a $2 holder would have saved you a $10 cob and all the time of soldering as well

M3 machine screws work better than drywall screws in all areas

Thank you for answering!
No, I didn't touch COB. When I was replacing second COB I saw this white strip on first COB.
I guess you talking about ideal holder? So would this COB work again?

Curious about these strips brother. What have you used them for with success? How are they powered etc. No pic on the website. I was wondering if these would be good to start seeds or root clones in medium after cloner? Trying to replicate my last setup next where I had a four bulb two foot T5 setup on the bottom of my nute rack and it worked perfectly .........this gives me more space in veg and gets light source closer to the little guys.

Thanks

i just got some to test and never did anything with them. somebody wanted them so i threw them up on the site in a quick and dirty fashion. mark made a thread about them last fall. they work with low current CC drivers like the lpc-35-700

thats what i bought them for (the white ones at least). like one strip over each cloner/tray in shelves. at 10W or so they would be great for that and the tiny amount of heat they put off would be perfect for keeping the media warm on the shelf above them.

ill prob put them to use for that just too many projects going on right now

Hi i was looking at your cxm22 120mm light engines and was wondering what driver you would recommend to run 5 of them?

I appreciate the quick answer. Im new to DIY and a feel like i might be a little bit in over my head. Im probably going to have them in a straight line down a 24x 48 space. would running them at 65w each with that driver make sense for that application?

sure theyd wok great. 2 rows of 3 better than all in a line. and you could add 2 more to that driver which wouldnt be much more power but would be more efficient aka more light+better coverage
