yeah i'm using panty hose right now, just thought something better would be good if it didn't block airflow too much

RAM BUG BARRIERS are what I use.

Have a look and see if you can find them.

I have 2x5" passive and 1x6" passive intakes and the RAM's work fantastically.

I used to use pantyhose but wanted something a little more proffessional looking.

They are designed for use with intake fans but they work great too as a passive barrier.

here u go man

i built this for myself ..............it will last 90 days before u need to replace the filters ................u want lvl 10 filters this cleans out everything possible including smoke dust mold virus

the best part is if u bend the ducting for it going it u have a powered intake with a light blocker so your photos flowering will be safe

good idea having a larger surface area to allow more airflow. i don't plan on installing another fan though

well the fan is the key to keep your tent from concaving and looking like a open air public art thing ...........with out it the only way it can pull tho the filter is by making it suck tho becuase of the negitive pressure (this is cuasing the fan that u are using to work harder)...........your tring to match the CFM with just little less for the intake (this will controll the smell)

the intake i showed u handles everything u can toss at it including bugs smoke mold virus as long as u get the lvl 10 filter (20 bucks for the 12x12 model)

I used one for an active intake with a 440 cfm fan for a few months. It was was in an awkward location so it was hard to access. By the time I did it was black.

I switched to hepa style. I say screw it though and roll with one of those. If your exhaust fan can't handle that tiny restriction of a filter, you need a new fan.

Any filter is going to be a restriction. Any filter/screen will work I suppose (assuming at the min you want bugs out and you don't mine cleaning), its up to you. There's multiple schools of thought.

Some say that if its intents are medicinal, it should be as pure as possible (think about how sticky weed is, and how everything will stick to it.) Basically ideally grown in a lab.

Me, I think it should be more of a natural sustainable situation, outdoors and or greenhouse with supplemental light (of course everyone's legal situation is different)...It can still be filtered that way though.

Id say the only other type of scenario is if one of your neighbors are growing outdoor male plants. That could get aggravating fast.

Yep they're the ones.

They have 4 pieces of Velcro to attach to your fan etc. I just bought myself some ducting connectors as it doesn't fit nicely onto ducting alone.

you must be in the UK cause that seems to be the only place that's selling them. recognize my avatar!?
