I currently grow in my garage and it has little insulation and as I rent, any modification are out of the window. Last summer my grow tent averaged 90-105F and I plan to rectify that this time. I keep my exhaust low to since humidity is an issue even with a decent humidifier (trying to stay as close to VPD as possible - 75F @ 65% RH). I do have a spare 8k BTU portable AC that I plan to put outside my tent, cut small foam boards to fit just the cool air flow into an insulated 6" to the tent, and use the exhaust pipe to flow directly upwards to my attic (It'll be an additional 5-6 feet of ducting to add to pipe it to the attic grate that provides fresh air but I can always add a small fan if blackflow is an issue), but that would all be useless if I cannot properly insulate my tent. I plan to set the tent on some 4x4 pallets to raise the height and cover the exterior (minus the exhaust, but since the AC will sit outside and push in cooler fresh air, I won't need an intake spot). The deal breaker for me how should I do the front? I can make due with just one of the doors to enter/exit, but I'm trying to come up with a way to insulated the 'front' of the tent where the doors/windows are while still having easy access to them. Any ideas are appreciate (or better options that don't involve making my own tent)!
