Insulating/Silencing exhast fan

Quick question

I have a 4inch Ruck fan but as my grow room is also in my bedrooom I need to keep the noise down as much as possible.

Is it safe to wrap these fans in some sort of foam/towel to reduce the noise output or would it cause a fire hazard?

The heat output is warm but not hot so im sure it would be fine?

People may disagree on safety, but I have the same setup with 2 of the 4" fans, I have the area where they vent out into the attic covered in towels to reduce noise, it's been 4 months, and they havn't gotten above the duct temp.

Just do it safely, and not put a towel over something obviously hot or chance of it getting hot and you should be just fine.
