Hi, I’ve started a Instagram account to try and keep the growing pages separate from my actual account, might seem a stupid question but is it wise ? I’m never to sure if the police can do much with stuff posted like trace u down from photos and so on

and also dose anyone have any decent accounts to follow

thanks

I donno man, I'd be leary if your in an illegal state or posting illegal shit..

I used to watch this YouTube channel called "grass inclass". Dude had some entertaining grow videos, would post up a new one every week like clockwork. Pretty sure what he was doing was illegal in his state, then all of a sudden the vids just stopped.

Just a totol guess here, but I'm thinking he either got robbed, or more likely, busted.. A result from posting the vids? The world will never know, lol..

You can %100 be traced from photos. Its just about how badly someone wants to.

Yeh I know photos hold the geo tags and stuff stored in the photos, just wasn’t sure if it translates through Instagram if that makes sense
If the police were seriously after someone they would go straight to the local isp that your connected to and figure out where the transmitted data came from. The internet is not just a "void" where things come and go. It has starts and ends. Points and nodes where your packets go through. This can all be unraveled and unspun to find the original sender of the packets. Its just about how badly they want to do this. And most people aren't smart enough to understand how to even slightly protect themselves anything on the internet, let alone THE INTERNET itself being able to find you. Like you realize our internet is pretty much owned by the government?

yeh, I got a bit of understanding about it, always running a vpn but never sure how much it protects u on social media apps and even forums like this one, I have just gone down a bit of rabbit hole but have got a app to delete the meta data off photos but still sure that there would be some trace when logging on to thinks like Instagram and Facebook

Hmmm … *logging IP / metadata

Well , I thought it was gonna be a short day at the precinct, but it looks like I’m gonna be serving more warrants this weekend.

Listen , I have an IG presence and don’t care about the POPO . They give zero shits about most indoor grows ( state dependent ) unless you are slinging said product. If you are the type that looks sketchy as fuck and is the hoodie guy behind Taco Bell , then you deserve the silver bracelets.

IG is a cesspool and really do not post there anymore. Too many bullshit “ seed droppers “ there. However , legit cannabis businesses and breeders still pop around there. Most of my posts were for photographic purposes anyways.

I never tripped out over being surveilled or being “ tracked “ ….. ( News Flash ) you are already tracked / archived / pinged / data grabbed.
If you try to go beyond normal grow limits - it’s on you. If you sell out of your house - it’s on you.

I once had some much product ( jars ) I would bury a large portion in coolers . Talk about paranoia.
Now since I smoke so much - it kind of gets destroyed by small fires - so no evidence.

So mostly like doing Nug Porn with my phone. Taking pretty bud pics.

yeh to pin it down it’s wales where I’m at, some officers are cool as penguin piss and others can be right jobs worths, they say anything under 8 plants is classed as personal so I’ve been sticking to that just incase my door dose come off, I have a nosey neighbour that sits in the bedroom window and watches everything we do, I had a mate come over and the lady next door rung the police, they were waiting down the road for him when he left mine, she’d seen us drinking and smoking in the garden and to make it even worse the husband came round the next day to ask how my mate got on with the police. My grow is right under there nose where it’s situated hence the name “Ann frank”

yeh that pretty much how I kinda see it ur leaving bread crumbs every time u touch ur phone/internet (there’s a thing going round at the moment saying that the ihones are taking photos of ur face every 5 seconds without u knowing) so logging on and using the net u have to be leaving a trace . It’s just a little hobby for me to keep me occupied not really in it for the money just more of learning and perfecting the art of growing some big taste buds

Unfortunately, you're never safe when posting yourself up on social media. But as you requested, I recommend the Canadian Grower on YouTube. He shows different indoor growing techniques and seed-to-harvest videos.

Yes you can. I pretty much figure everything I do online these days is recorded in one way or another. I’m just boring af and don’t really do much “wrong” anymore so not too worried. But ya everything you touch online can be tracked pretty easily.
