inspection: can i use floro temporarilly?

hey guys, im having an inspection and have to move the op into a bedroom, while dudes inspect and work on the house. im not so sure i want to run my 600 hps in the normal socket in the wall of the bedroom...is it okay to? im worried about fire hazards. will a 600 watt w digi balast be okay in a bedroom outlet? standard not extra volt kind??
instead i wanted to use my t5 floros to flower with for a week, i know wrong spectrum etc, but only option unless u guys feel hps is okay in normal socket.
will this drastically stunt growth?

Depending on how old your house is,your outlets by code should be rated at 1500-1750 watts.You will be fine running your 600w light.
If your light is 240v and not 120,you will have to find another light for the day.
Changing lights for a week will not hurt the plants,it may slow them down a little.OPH

If it's compatible with the socket, then surely. Like old pothead said, your lines should be 12 gauge, which is rated for 20 amps(2400 watts with 120v, theoretical, actual will be less). Stay under 2000 watt per 20 amp branch to be safe.

yes it will run it no problem. id be more worried about the smell rather than if your power points can run the lights, do you have a shead out the back you can hide them till the worker bugger off? any light will do even the light from a TV in front of them will keep them happy for a few hours LOL.

no shed out back, i will have to stash in the bedroom.
bought a new lock for the door so now way they can enter,as i will say my roomate will be gone for this week and he locks his door.
i have a very good carbon filter that will eliminate smell. and i just baught all kinds of fabreeze products as well, candles auto scent shooter things, spray can, lol im good i hope on that.
i think ill use my t5 for a week just to play it safe, this house does seem pretty old, just no idea how old....
