Insect identification help needed.

I found a leaf that had fallen off of one of my plants into the soil and when I picked it up it had little bugs all over it.

Anyone know what these are? Do they cause any harm? I can't find any on the plant itself.

If it helps any they appear to have six legs under a magnifying glass.

I thought aphids were green. These are brown.

I did some research last night and I'm thinking maybe some kind of soil mites?

It appears that most are harmless and some are beificial.

they are redish or brown too
