Inline Fan

My inline fan is mountet vertical, is this wrong?
It starting to become a little noisy after just a couple of days.
I havent read anywhere that it shouldn't be montet vertical, but it's just maybe not good for it?

I've found that my horizontal mounted fans go out faster. I'm assuming it's more stress on the bearings to run horizontal.

I run 2 x 8" and 1x6" can fans.

Edit:
Are you restricting the inflow of your fan at all? (i.e. 8" can fan stepped down to 6" at the intake)

heys guys, just from experience, inline fans shouldnt be used as exhaust fans, inline fans drag through the motor, which makes it work harder, and they burn out real quick, as an intake on a low speed is the best place for a decent inline within a decent sized area, in a perfect world were we all have endless cash, you would have centrifigals, centrifigal fans drag the air around the motor causing less friction and drag so the fan can operate without having to struggle, obviously on exhaust your venting warm air too, so it also adds to the drag and pressure put on the fan, again in a perfect world we all have 2 centrifigal fans with a temp controller. lol hope the info helps.

never heard this b4, could this mean my 6inch vortext that's horizontally mounted to my wall could be in peril ? i'll switch it right out, after i smoke this

I've changed it to horizontal position now, and it still makes some noise, sadly. I only got a DR40 tent and uses a Fresh Inline fan (130m3/h) for pushing air out of the tent. a 120mm chassifan supports the intake.

here man take a look at these

put em together and voila you have a 4 inch inline fan that blows the air around the motor cooling it as it sucks the air out of your cab at 232 cfm for 50 bucks. You tell me where else you can get that much fan power for that cheap. Im using one myself works like an absolute charm i will never buy another fan even if i was running a large hps i would just run reducers on the reflector and run a few of these as exhausts and intakes in my cab it would still be cheaper than buying a HO 6 inch or 8 inch fan from the hydro store and just as much cfm the only drawback is the amount of plugs your running at that point. Power strip is your friend =)
