would it be ok to turn off the inline fan while the lights are off ? like during the night as my tent will be very close to where i sleep. would it be ok to just keep a fan running inside the tent with flaps open ???

Is it possible, yes. Should you do it is the question. That one is upto you, a few hours with lights off and a fan running would be ok for an auto, with a photo you would have 50% of the hours in stale air and i would personaly get a quiet fan rather than turn one off

Sure why wouldn't it be? Go for it.

Optimal environment is the aim so turning the fan off so you can sleep at night suits you more than your aim.

I'd say do as you please because priorities seem confused.

Never turn it off.

Haha, brutal honesty. But ive had a fan going at the end of my bed before, it really does get you after a few nights

well its not exactly that loud tbh but ther will slight buzz id say once all connected and in side the tent guess i will have to get used to it i think i will turn the inline fan off once the lights go of for like 6 hours until around early/mid flower ill keep the inline fan on basically 247 might have a odd few hours off. but always going to have 2 little fans running inside all the time in a 1.5x3 with max 3 plants in 2 gallon pots but more than likely 2 and will have dehumidifier in there when needed (as inline fan is off) so should be fine. and might go for 3 gallon pots undecided tbh

Invest in a Variac controller and slow the fan whilst you sleep, that way you still have extraction and air exchange.

While I'm a proponent for fresh, moving air at all times, the more important question is going to be, what happens to your humidity when you turn that fan off at night. In my mind that's the bigger issue. Good luck.

You can get a fan controller and even the cheap ones aren’t that loud when put at medium speed

So your dehu. is quieter than the fan running?

Also, consider the dehu. is going to raise the temps in the tent...and be mindful of any lights on the dehu. that could interfere with your night cycles.

I think I'd find a way to sleep through the night with my fans going.
Mine helps me sleep. I like the white noise

well not just that the 2-3 bowls are helping too bongsmilie

i will have a dehumidifier in the ten whilst lights and inline fan is off this to be exact https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LCHCU0M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That thing will not remove nearly enough humidity from a grow tent. You would need something like this. And it is just as loud as an inline fan and puts off a good amount of heat.
Weed puts a ton of humidity into the air if you dont have a way to deal with that properly, you are better off not growing.

if the noise is a bother then a fan controller would suit you. I wouldnt shut it off as the plants need fresh air. but at night with lights off you only need to change the air out every 10 min or so. Put the controller on low so its not so loud. just make sure to turn it back up when the lights turn on.
