Inkbird temp controller help

Hi guys I've got a little 500w oil heater to heat up my tent, but the heater won't turn on I've got a humidity controller and got that to work fine but the heater won't it definitely works as I tried it by itself.

The controller constantly has the heating light lit up even without the heater plugged in which seems abit weird?

Anytime PV (process variable, i.e. temperature) < SV (setpoint value) , the controller will try to heat (turn on). It doesn't "know" there is no heater plugged in. Reduce SV to less than PV, and it will try to cool.

It simply controls the 2 outlets. It doesn’t actually care what is or isn’t plugged into it.
