infrared?

OK so I have an attic im setting up shop in the only problem is im scared shitless of infrared. My room has no isolation I plan on putting up reflective sheet insolation you know the one that comes in a roll. I also plan to put up poly and marler up as well. All three layers will be stapled to my rooms wooden frame that I built in the attic. I also have two 6" inline fans, one for the 600w hps and one for the room. I guess my question is with all this precaution in my room will i still show up in the laws eye(infrared)?

i've seen people use privacy film but im not sure that would be able to block infrared

Okay, time to help again.

FLIR only works by detecting heat LEAKS. It can NOT see through a wall. That protective 'film' might end up as a bad insulator and increase the heat signature of your room if not installed properly.

The best thing is to have the room properly insulated and sealed/vented - there is no need for IR foils and all that tinfoil hat nonsense if these two things are dealt with properly the first time.

There is some stuff called "Block-IR" that is made. They claim a "97% reduction in thermal imaging reduction." Might be total bullshit, but they had pictures and lol, they say that it was made for NASA. lol

Now I wanted to ask you. Okay, so you have 1 - 600w HPS? Right. Don't even sweat it. If you have awesome airflow, which you should, it shouldn't get that hot. 6" fan on a 600w hps is bad ass. Just make sure you are venting that shit strait out of the room. You really are not going to leave a heat signature.

Second. Depending on where you live they might not even have access to the imaging equipment. Why would they look at your house? From what I understand weed is low enough priority that your small grow would not be worth it to even investigate. Think about the heat. It is not much hotter than some asshole that left his 150w incandescent attic light on for a few days. (might be wrong)

If you have trees it will make it even harder for them to see in. If you are really spooked about it you should make sure that the top of your grow room is not the roof. You should have an air gap. Heat will levelize with the air around it. Fiberglass is your friend. Line the outside of the room with is.

My attic in Texas stays around 90 to 100 in the summer (day time). My grow room would sure as fuck be cooled to 75 to 78. It would show up as a cool spot.

also just to ease your mind a little they cant just fly over and detect this...they have to have a warrant to even use this equipment now..the law was passed awhile ago ..its invation of privacy..if they have enough on you to even use it..they are gonna come get you either way..

Yeah I hear that on a youtube video the other day. Im most worried about them flying over head in search of "something else" as they would say haha fuckers have a loop no matter what! Oh well right... Im a farmer in a farming state and this is what I do.
