i have two phillips 1000wt mH and 2 1000wt hortilux HPS bulbs for flower. lumitek ballasts. i've grown N.L. b/f as well as big bud, first run at Blueberry, O.G. Kush, Chocolate Chunk. was debating seeds for about a week and a half. the day i was ready to order the o.g. kush 18 was available, so i dropped my previous choice of LSD from Barney's.

yea i was checking out mammaths journal and the LSD is the SHIT!! unbelievable calyxes.... iz aight though, after i have good mothers from all the 5 strains now, i'll make another order for some new genetics. i'm actually kind of glad the o.g. 18 ran out of stock, i want to breed it with blueberry DP.

hi mate how long are you going to veg your big bud.
i am planning to grow a few and veg them for a couple of weeks and trim the lower shoots and just concentrate on growing the top colas so i can cram more into my grow room whats your view on that as you seem to know what your banging on about lol

that's a great question. all 26 plants are 4 weeks from sprout today. 4 weeks and 3dys from germ. 4 of the big buds are about 6 in tall, 1 at 5in, and a monster at 8 in w/ huge ass fat indica leaves. i love it.

i would like to veg for a couple more weeks, but money is tight and i was thinking of only going for another week b/f flippin em.... But on the other hand, my goal is to take the best plant from each strain and keep em for mothers, so i would like those cuttings to be 6 wks of age ya know?

but i'll probably veg for 2 more weeks, what's an extra week of macaroni, hot dogs, and top ramen?

as far as trimming lower shoots, i'll play with that after a mother is selected, i'm really just focusing on selecting the best girl of each strain. don't really want to get too technical. first grow in years...

i'm pretty sure i have my mothers selected for the blueberry, and the o.g. kush. the future blueberry mom is being tied down as we speak, probably about 16 inches, so i went ahead and topped two of the other blueb, and left the last 1 (which started as a mutant) alone. this will probably be the extent of pruning with this grow.

o.k. its been a week since last update. this is my 300 post so i might as well make it a useful one.

11/3/09
-Topped 2 blueberrys. Leaving 2 topped, 1 tied down, 1 regular
mutant mad scientist experiment....

11/4/09
-Transplanted 2 new blueberry sprouts to 3 gal bag
75%dirt/25%perlite.
-Slight downward leaf tip curling on a handful of girls. Heat Stress....

11/5/09
-Watered the girls for the first time in a week lol. NO NUTES. PH6.5
-Raised lights considerably. temps stable @ low 80s. pretty sure leaf
curling was from heat stress.

11/6/09
-Plants stoked after watering.
-Temps still stable 80-82. No leaf curling on new growth.

11/9/09
-Plants at 4 weeks from sprout today.
-Watered girls. Upped nute intake dramatically, 3 tspns ffgb/ per gal
all plants drank 1/3 - 1/2 gal water. I will use this nute regiment
every other watering till flowering. Time to start pumping up the
volume, these girls are ready for it....
-Accidentally broke my thermometer, sat on it while watering lol.

if you do breed, we should def do a trade in some beans homie!

perfect plants..... no deformities or genetic defects. quick veg growth, good yields, better taste, strong phenotypes that put up with as much bullshit from me as my fiance does.

my 4 blueberrys for instance. of the 4, 1 mutated. it grew a set of leaves at the top of the mainstem, halting future growth, then the new mainstem popped out of the node just below. pretty weird. never seen it before. will not be a mother. another 1 is a beefy lookin plant but has some deformities on leaves. some leaf sets with only two leaves others with three. will not be a mother. leaving me with 2 really nice phenos from the blueberry. 1 of them is HUGE. probably 18+ inches, but i don't know cuz i had to tie it down to keep a more even canopy. Assuming this plant doesn't hermie (lol) she'll prob be the blue mom. the fourth blub girl is structurally perfect, but not as quick a grower as the monster. i topped this one.

but i think all in all it comes down to the final quality in the end. i will clone all plants and veg till harvest has been dried and cured. then the mothers will be selected. the clones that aren't the lucky winners, will be flowered.

I went ahead and threw em into flower. Put in the 1000 watt hortilux bulbs this morning after a nice 12 hr nap. I'll give em reg. ph'd water tomorrow and then begin bloom nutes. 3 days ago i spilt coffee on my digital camera, thank god it dried and it still works. taking pics today, but dealing with shotty internet in mexico, so uploading the pics will be a different story..... fingers crossed for everybody.

Plants are looking badass. All blueberrys between 9.5/17 inches tall. Big Buds are 7/11 inches. All 8 Chunks are between 9-10 with the exception of the runt at 6in. N.L's are between 7-12 in. O.g. Kush 18 monster at 14in, and the little runt that could pulled in at a solid 9.

I love the tent man, so much room to kick back, relax, and shut out the world. I love sitten in my room reading my high times collection enjoying the ac and aromas. Anywayz Nice Job. Im bout to clone a bunch of bigbuds and im eager to see what yours look like through flowering. Although I got mine from ministry of cannibis so it might not be exactly same
