Starting a new grow.

300w, 600w, 1200w LED, viparspectra
2'x2', 2'x4', 3.5'x3.5' tents
Fox farm soil and nutes
6 chemdawg
2 orange bud (fem)
1 fruity chronic juice (fem)
Manifolding - for the first time

I'm going to use the fem's as mothers for the next grow.

Would love comments and criticisms!

Today is day 5. Humidity around 51%, 75 degrees. Watered with 25% nutes yesterday. Trying out the 6/2 light cycle.

Stay tuned!

Mid week two update.

Weird that the middle one is growing so differently. I moved her to the middle a few days ago because she was behind.

I don’t think it’s my single fruity chronic juice because I’m pretty sure I labeled the red solo cups correctly. It’s labelled as chem dawg.

Does it look to you like a different strain or just behind? Maybe it’s just a different pheno.

Photo is at 11 days.

Probably just a different pheno type. Pr could just be a slow vegger. Or being a different pheno it may not like the environment or the media, or nutrients. It could be all kinds factors.

Exactly, so many factors it’s really hard to say. Seems like that one stretched more than the others though.

Major update! End of week four. I switched to my 400 mh/hps light as it's an upgrade from the VIparspectra. Have it in a cool tube which is working great. Temps are perfect even with running the inline fan at almost its lowest setting.

Took some clones to determine the sex of the 6 chemdawgs, and verify the three mothers are females.

The browning you see on one of the three mothers is due to them being too close to my little heater. Moved them a bit further away so they should be good now.

Going to be doing some LST next week.

Pics are before taking the clones.

Late end of week five update.

Starting doing some topping/mainlining. Took too much off the front plant but thats ok. Also topped the mothers quite a bit.IMG_3198.JPG IMG_3199.JPG

End of week six. Did some more low stress training. This week they should explode with growth.

I think I was over watering for a bit. Not really sure, but dialed it back just in case. A lot of the old fan leaves started getting spots and then started drying up. You can see what I mean in the front and center one in the first pic.

Come to think of it, it might be because I've been getting lazy with nutes, so it's sucking them out of the larger leafs in favor of attempting new growth.

I'll be switching to mixing 5 gallons of nutes at a time instead of just 1. That'll be easier for me and make feeding more consistent again.

Second pic are the mothers, coming along nicely.

Third pic are the clones I took. Ones on the left are 16 days, right are 12 days. I took another batch cause the first one looked like they wouldn't make it. But they all have - they've all rooted. Can't wait to see which are females!

End of week seven.

It's just crazy what a week solid of good food does to 'em.

Hoping the clones show sex soon so I can thin the herd.

End of week eight.

Got a new light today. 1k watt MH/HPS dimmable to 600w and 750w. I have it set to 750w right now and temps are ok. I think at 1k temps might get a little too high, especially for flower. Going from 400w to 750w should be a big enough jump. This reflector is a huge upgrade too.

Will be switching to flower either next week or the week after.

Just fed them their last veg nutes and since I'll be switching to flower in the next few days, after flushing, I decided to post a preflip update.

The first four pics are the tops and sides of the six I'll be flipping to flower.

I then included a pic of the mothers and their cloned counterparts that are showing sex, verifying that they are female. These not the mothers of the six but mothers for the next grow.

These six chemdawgs I was told might be predisposed to be hermi, is that possible, is that a thing?

End of week 13. Just got back from a week long work trip and they have come along nicely. One of them, the third pic, is showing signs of over watering from my auto water system, as it does have ventilation in the back corner to evaporate some water. So I added a fan at the bottom center of the space to get more equal evaporation, and will be not watering this one for a day or two.

These are manifolded at the base of the plants but I undid the tie downs and now they're going mostly straight up.

I think I put too many plants in the space. Maybe I'll kill another one leaving it with four. We'll see.
