Indoor Growing.. Please Help!

Okay.. So my boyfriend is considering growing indoors. And in order to save money.. I agreed. I just need someone to tell me the best way to go about lighting for the plant(s).

He's thinking two plants....

Guess I'm also asking what's the best, cheapest way to grow it indoors.

Keep in mind... I'd rather him not spend a billion dollars.

All suggestions are welcome.

i would suggest looking into a 400w hps for lighting, that will produce some nice buds on two plants. . also invest a little in some good soil like fox farm ocean forest, and also get yourself some nutrients to flower. . you'll need a couple of fans for ventilation as well . . ide say those are the most basic things you'de need to grow some decent stuff. . where do you guys plan to grow? a closet?

Yes. A small closet. Just a couple of feet long and wide.

400 watt HPS/MH setup will be perf for that. If i were you id get lowryder autoflowering plants, plant your plants a month or so apart, harvest one, wait a month, harvest again. if i were you, id put them in a box, line it with mylar, cut a hole in the bottom of the box, insert a small fan pulling air into the box, on the opposite side of the box, cut a hole at the top, insert another fan shooting air outside of the box. If you want, you can set a fan up on the plants when they start growing, set it so its just barely causing the plant to sway. This is gonna make your stems nice and thick, making the plant an overall better plant. Any other questions just PM me and ill try to help

so would you say 2' x 2' ?. . that space is pretty tight. . you would need some nice fans to exhaust the hot air. . maybe look into a 250w hps. . and grow them in maybe 3gallon containers. . do you have anything you need for the grow right now?

No, not really.. That's what we're trying to figure out. I don't want to get the wrong things.

ok, well you need in my opinion either a 250w hps, or a 400w hps. . a 400w hps can get very hot in a small space like that. . so keep that in mind. also, a couple of fans for cool air intake, and hot air exhaust. . soil and nutrients. . and thats basically it.. also, i suggest you look into what gnarlywabba said about the grow box. . you should do something like that instead of just using the closet. .

dont go to any stupid site for a hydroponics station or a grow box, that shit isnt worth your time unless your producing mad amounts of bud. Stick your seeds into the dirt and let them grow, dont bother germinating them.. people think thats the only way to do it but thats a crock of shit. Germinating them is just an extra step.. these seeds are hardwired to grow in the dirt by themselves.. the more you try to "help" the plant by germinating in a bag or putting nutes on it.. the more damage your gonna do. Keeping in mind your growin in what sounds like a smaller area, set it up in like.. oh.. say a 3 foot by 3 foot box. Put them in there, set the fans up i had mentioned in my last post, and if need be, cut a hole in the top of your box and let the light shine through it, just make sure its going to be photo-tight, when its supposed to be dark cycle, it has to be COMPLETELY DARK.. plants growth isnt determined by the length of the light cycle, its determined by the dark cycle.. make sure its completely dark. Get the lowryder autoflowering, your gonna be golden.. get at me with more questions
