Indoor growing advice wanted

Hi i'm just about to start my first indoor grow, I've grown outside but can't be bothered with pests, security etc and everything that goes with it.
My setup will be a 400 watt mh lamp and i'm hoping to grow 2 snow white and 2 church. I'll be growing in 25 litre pots ( 5 gallon ). At the moment i'm germinating the seeds, my question is once the seeds have cracked and i put them in the pots can these go straight under my lamp. I will of course have the lamp quite a long way away from the top of the pots until they become a little more established. Is this the way to do it or should i put the pots outside until a couple of leaf sets appear? What do you think??
Thanks.:hump:

Yea you can put them under the MH they will just stretch a little not much cause the light is so far away but putting it close is too intense.

Sounds like you did a lil research. Good!

6gal pots ya plants are gonna be big as hell bra.

remember that a 400 watt is only effective up to 2 feet of light penetration and those are some big pots and the plants will double in hieght when you go to 12/12.
may want to consider topping them or Lst

I use 5 gal. grow bags (metro mix soil/added perlite). Veg mine under a t5 for 4-5 weeks. Flower with an air cooled 1000 watt horitlux on a light rail. Seedlings tend to be 4-6 ft. tall (depending on strain)completly untrained. Clones a little shorter. Yield (again strain) is 2-4 ounces per plant. I get right around 1 3/4-2 lbs every 60 days using this method.
