whats happening partner?

I'd recommend 3,000 ~ 5,000 lumens per square foot.........That's a good target to shoot for.....

I've done grows as high as 17,000 lumens per square foot - as long as you keep the temperatures managed your plants will thank you kindly......

I have also done a grow with 552 watts of cfl's....There were 24 spiral cfl's over two white widow plants.....vegged for 28 days and flowered for 70....yielded 6.6 ounces.....

The sun measures about 10,000 lumens per square foot....

As long as temperatures don't get too hot, bring on the lumens!

Hi mate, I'm doing a cfl first grow too, basically the higher the watts the more lumens, I'm using 200w combined, 10 20w cfls 6 'daylight' and 4 2700k for veg and ill swap for flower so 6 2700k and 4 daylight. Tesco sells 23w, 1480 lumen 2700k's and home base sells 18w daylights they are 1080 lumens I wouldn't use smaller ones, not as much lumens so basically more watts, more lumens. Good luck with ur grow!

143 watts to 3 plants is pretty good....I've heard 50w per plant/sq ft is a pretty good rule of thumb....just make sure those lights stay within a couple inches of the plants!
