Hey Guys,

What is the strongest Indica out there? I like a body high not so much a head high. Any ideas?

Afghani is 100% Indica and will put your dick in the dirt. The seeds are expensive though.

Afghani is good, for sure, expensive ? Depends who you buy from.
Romulan is great one.

The Kush strains are also very good

Hindu Kush. It's 100% indica from the Hindu Kush mountain region. Originally used somewhere down the line to create anything with "Kush" in the name. I'm not sure if the seeds you can purchase are the real deal however.

If you want a body stone then look for something that has a high percentage of CBD and be less concerned about the highest percentage of THC. CBD is what gives someone a body stone and the way genetics work both high percentages of THC and CBD can't happen, so one will have to be somewhat sacrificed to have the other.

Look among with landrace indicas you can find and look for higher percentages of CBD first and then the percentage of THC second. It will still be difficult to find strains with true high percentages of CBD, since 'The Dutch Masters' have all but bred CBD out of modern strains, but landrace indicas are still the best place to look.

CBD has a greater affinity for the CB2 receptor than for the CB1 receptor, meaning that its effect is mostly in the body and not so much in the head. CBD shares a precursor with THC and is the main cannabinoid in low-THC cannabis strains.

Landrace strains, usually of indica heritage, contain higher concentrations of CBD than recreational drug strains, which are usually bred towards a higher concentration of THC. This is the reason why strains containing high ratios of CBD can be difficult to find.

A California physician is offering his medical-marijuana patients a liquefied version of the drug that he says won't produce much of a buzz but does contain chemicals helpful in treating a variety of illnesses, the Washington Post reported June 1.


Willets, Calif., physician William Courtney, M.D., said that marijuana with high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) seems to have the most medical potential; ironically, CBD levels seem to be lowest in marijuana strains of the plant that are highest in THC -- the main psychoactive substance in marijuana.


"What has happened is, almost all strains available in America through the black market are THC concentrates," said Ethan Russo, senior medical adviser to GW Pharmaceuticals, which is developing the marijuana-based pain medication Sativex. "The CBD in almost all cases has been bred out. The reason is cannabis in this country has been cultivated for its intoxicating effect."

Sam the Skunkman says that nearly all modern cannabis is pretty much CBD-free or the levels are so low as to be miniscule, landrace indicas are the way to go.

Right now there's simply no strains available where cbd will make up more than 2% of the overall cannabinoids (.5% of the flower weight)and no way of cultivating a noticeably higher cbd content. For the most part conversion of cbg into cbd is controlled by a single gene (Bd) which is codominant with the gene that converts cbg into thc. For example a plant that inherits a Bd gene from one parent and a Bt gene from the other will have roughly equal content of Cbd and Thc. However, if the plant is homozygous for Bd it will have very little thc and if its homozygous for Bt it will have very little Cbd.

While it is true that afghani landraces can have a high cbd content. Since having a Bd gene will replace half of the thc content with cbd, seed companies always remove the Bd allele from the gene pool in order to maximize thc potency and stay competitive.

Sensi Star is the strongest indica I've ever had. When we tried growing it, we had to get rid of it because it was impossible to smoke it without instantly becoming completely wasted. Harvested early it's more smokeable but low yielding. Even though we'll never touch the stuff again, I've gotta give credit to Paradise for one of the, if not the strongest indica around.

Sensi Star is a great indoor plant, producing powerful, resinous, and very compact buds. Although mostly indica, she retains a complex high that warps both body and soul. Introduced in 1995 by Paradise, this strains stability was improved in 1997 to deliver a strong plant with big fan leaves and nice thick buds.

Sensi Star works well in a sea of green set-up. It is best to let them vegetate for 2 weeks before entering the 12/12 light cycle. If the strong side branching is allowed to remain and flower, she needs a little extra space. Prospects for gardening this plant outdoors are good in temperate zones, where she will reach approximately 6 feet (2 meters).

This headstrong indica produces rock hard colas that have a lemony scent and taste. Some smokers find the buzz to be a very strong body stone, while others report a high with more energetic cerebral properties as well as a body sensation. THC levels have been reported at 20 percent for this variety, making it a one-hitter quitter. CBD has been measured at .9 percent.



(CBD percentage under 1%. A perfect example of how breeders intentionally breed for THC at the expense of CBD even though so many people want the body stone that CBD provides. For medicinal patients who NEED increased levels of CBD new strains are being created that are high in CBD, but they are examples of how if someone wants high levels of CBD they have to give up THC to get it.)

The Blue-Ribbon Plant The plant richest in CBD is a “True Blueberry/OG Kush” cross grown in the mountains south of Yreka by Wendell Lee of Full Spectrum Genetics (not to be confused with the lab in Colorado). Dried buds of TB/OGK have been sent for testing on four occasions by Harborside, the dispensary with which Lee is associated. Samples were consistently found to contain about 10% CBD (with THC levels around 6 to 7%). On the only occasion that a crop grown outdoors by Lee was tested by Steep Hill lab, it was found to contain 13.9% CBD.

Two other labs have confirmed the CBD content of Lee’s TB/OGK.

(That is why true couch-lock is difficult to find and why growers have turned to flowering their plants past peak potency waiting to see amber colored trichomes just to allow THC to oxidize, to be lost, to intentionally end up with less/lower levels of THC than the genetics could provide, so a percentage of THC turns into CBN, so they can then have a fake couch-lock. CBN levels increase as THC degrades. It is only mildly psychoactive and will cause a fuzzy head feeling, drowsiness, disorientation and sleepiness in the smoker. That is the 'gift' that 'The Dutch Master's have given tokers that want a true body stone, that want a real couch-lock affect from what they smoke. FWIW - It's interesting that some people don't want the couch-lock. A friend of mine says the Bubba just phucks him up to much. He loves the Blue Dream.

I am curious as to how you would define; "strongest" or maybe most potent when it comes to indicas in relation to what the person is looking for; "I like a body high not so much a head high." What is it about; "pre 98 bubba kush" that makes it; "hands down the strongest indica out there," as in what is your definition of "strongest" or as I also put it, most potent?

I got some Northern Lights x Big Bud that was like .6% or .8% CBN and CBD, threw the package out and don't remember the exact numbers.

Many people, especially people like myself who cut their teeth on the old pure sativas of the 60's and 70's still love the clear soaring energetic invigorating inspirational mind warping type of high more than we like being turned into Beavis and Butthead who are totally satisfied with being bored to death and think they are having fun watching videos or Facts of Life reruns or the Weather Channel for hours on end while eating gas station burritos and downing Big Gulps and repeatedly saying ... uh, huh, huh, huh, cool.

bluedream is caca!!!!! didnt even feel like there was any smoke in my lungs even after i took a mean rip off a huge bowl..... high went away after 30 min....

bubba kush will have you in a near comatosed like state for well over 2 hours....... it will effect how much your gonna get done that day... and even after weeks of exclusively smoking bubba kush and not any other strains it still gets the job done with very little tolerence built up, and to be real with you my good man i can honestly say every haze i tried{ arjans, nevilles, ssh, reg. silver haze, and orgin. haze} doesnt have the same lingering effect has the bubba.....

and to be more real with you i think f you had the luxury of smoking some of my bubba dom pheno from my own gem sourkush it would cripple your old ass in like 2-3 hits... you would be soo high coughing up shit with deep racoon bags under your eyes just high has fuck........ and then prolly have the nerve to tell me i dont like strain......... lololololololol smoke your sativas...

Not exactly the detailed sort of definition I had hoped for, but what the heck.

And if I were lucky enough to still have the original Dalat my brother in law brought home from Vietnam and you had the luxury of smoking it, after about two hits you would be crying for your mama because you would not know what hit you. I saw true hardened party commandos who found it too much for them. It did not cause paranoia, but it was faster than a rocket-sled. Some claimed it had to be laced with something, but it wasn't. My brother in law shipped back two large stereo speakers he bought at a PX in 'Nam and mostly filled them with Dalat but included a large bag of Dalat seeds. When he returned he went to N.C. State as a horticulture major and he grew it himself and it was not laced with anything ... it was just pure natural high octane of the type that most people today could not even begin to imagine has ever existed.

That stuff was pure Warp 10 and it was ceiling-less and the closest herb I have ever smoked to being hallucinogenic. It was mind warping plus ... but you didn't want to sit on your butt when it hit .. you wanted to do something, anything, go somewhere, anywhere, you wanted to experience things instead of just lounging around vegetating.

That's why I have always said sativa's rule and indicas make you drool.
