And also watching Channel 13 news last night, apparently there was yet another home invasion type of the same as above. I believe it was in the Lovell area. Pretty brazen stuff to pose as a DEA agent. I believe with the economy and loss of drugs, we are going to see more and more of this type in the future.

And when the real DEA shows up to bust someone they won't believe it's them and shootouts will occur.

This is some crazy shit. I knew it was going to find its way up here eventually but i have been trying to pretend now isnt the time.. time to open those eye balls :( security is a real concern, for everyone, not just caregivers/patients. even old ladies on o2.. :/

FYI: the real DEA will have at least a dozen guys, they will be wearing body armer and skimasks, they will have SBR AR's hanging off their shoulders, they will also have a shit ton of cars with lights. they don't roll onto a house stealth like, when they knock on/down your door their should be no question as to who they are. So yeah, if their is question shoot the mother fucker.

on another note, never let the LEO's in anyways, so if this happens say through the door, "step back into my drive way and i'll talk to you on through my window/door" if they are their to arrest you, they don't "ask" for yout o come outside and if they do ask, don't comply. its not good if they are legit LEO's and it surely aint good if they are these dirt bags.

You know, THIS old lady once held a job doing ballistics testing on armor plating for an armored car company. Not only can I shoot, but I am dead accurate with a wide variety of ordnance...looks can be deceiving

And I was about a year away from a black belt in Kung Fu as my prime...

And I was a softball pitcher for a girls fast-pitch softball league...and I pitched in the National championship tournament (You'd never know it, eh MaineYankee?)

Older ladies are not always the "easy mark" they appear to be. Just sayin...

LOL ... That one I would have never guessed (fast pitch pitcher). You had me, but now that you mention it, I can def see where you were (back in the day). We all change to some degree as we age and grow in knowledge. I still like living up here in Maine, as our neighbors are still friendly towards each other. You don't get that in too many places anymore. To some degree, we just have to be more secure on who we let into our lives and especially into our homes.

Have a great day everyone :-)

I visited Tennessee a few weeks ago and I read a story in the newspaper there that made my toes curl. A couple was busted for "dealing marijuana" in a small town near where my parents live. They reportedly had 4 1/8ths in seperate baggies "prepared for sale" and about $300 in cash in the house "assumed to be the proceeds of drug dealing". They were arrested, put in jail and charged with $30k bail. I cringed just thinking about it.

This couple got jail time and $30k in bail for HALF AN OUNCE.

Oh, and unohu69, I'm a Southern Belle. I was born in Texas, raised in Tennessee until I was a tweenager, at which point we moved to Mississippi. Solid southern through and through. And I can shoot my dinner between the eyes AND then fry it up fine. Granted I've been in Maine for the past 11 years and I love it here, I'm still GRITS (Girl Raised In The South).

I was in Kentucky once. Had a bucket that was missing a wing and got into an argument with the owner. I was looking at being barred for life, but chose to opt out for Popeye's. It was a finger licken' good experience for me :-)

ALFRED, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- York County's Sheriff says his office and federal drug agents have made one of the biggest pot busts ever in the county. Investigators have shut down two indoor marijuana growing operations in the Waterboro area.

It all unfolded a little more than a week ago when drug enforcement agents, members of a DEA task force and sheriff's deputies raided a home in Waterboro and found a marijuana growing operation inside. Police arrested John Pond and seized 80 marijuana plants and 2 pounds of processed pot.
That led investigators to a much bigger bust. Yesterday and last night they raided a warehouse full of pot in Waterboro and a home in Lyman. Both belonging to Robert Ryder, owner of Ryder Construction. Between both busts, authorities seized nearly 1,000 marijuana plants worth an estimated $400,000 dollars. The sheriff says it's the biggest drug bust he's been involved in.
"I believe so, it's safe to say that. I've been in this business 39-years, I used to run a drug enforcement unit when i was with the state police. Did a lot of these cases, but for an indoor grow, this is huge", said Sheriff Mo Ouellette.
Pond was released on bail, Ryder is being held on $25,000 bail. He's due in court Friday.
