we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.

It kind of depends on the strain, some ripen fast, some other don't. Having patience is the hardest part of growing, but it really pays off. It may take 2 weeks, it may take 4. Some sativas can go as far as 22 weeks of flowering.

mine have been outside since july 25th ... so soon it will be 3 months in 12/12 (taking into considiration that outside here is 12/12 all year)
weather forecast for the coming 10 days : Scattered Showers, 30-31C , Chance of Rain : 30% , Humidity will range from 65% to 78%
is it worth it to risk it for 3 more days?
I woke up this morning, sky was all grey..no rain however, and now it is sunny. Then out of nowhere it changes and then God just feels like making a new vine on how to piss off cannabis growers and BAM it rains for 10 minutes and then again grey all around then sunny again.

Guys, I went ahead and harvested yesterday. I am glad I did. It started raining late in the afternoon and all evening, the weather is all grey and rainy. So yes, I'm happy I didnt leave them...could have been better but the way things look, it could have been gone all wrong and I didnt want to risk it!!
