In Desperate Need

Hey guys, I recently lost my job, and decided to once again base all my income on my marijuana cultivation skills. My apartment was recently burglarized, and I lost everything having to do with cultivation, including my VERY recently started crop, Lights etc..

I have a $400 a month car payment, rent, insurance, and everything else. I have been trying to get a loan, but after days and days of searching for one, I simply cant find a place that will lend me money. I messed up when i was 18 with my first job and got pretty deep into credit debt, i have since paid this off, but places just look at my credit score. i have a little over a grand in the bank, and if my math is right, i need at least a $5000 loan to start my grow op up again. and meanwhile, i've been searching for at least a fast food job, but there is no way it will cover my car and rent..

Any regular lender is out of the question.. and i was wondering if anyone knew of any private lenders that would lend. I dont really care too much about the interest rate. if i could get the loan i could easily pay 30% interest..maybe more..

If anyone can give me any advice on where i can get a loan, i will be very thankful.

can i ask how you plan to "easily" pay it off?
I have 30 auto ak/low rider. 10 SS white russian. and like 3 bubble from nirvana. all fem.

once i find a place that will supply a loan i will have enough for lights, soil and stuff for that. as well as a couple months rent. I start work at the Kettle this thurs. so i will be able to use that money for my car.

I should at least be able to get 20g per plant from the AF's. nice quick grow.. while i also plant my larger producing strains. my grow rooms are upstairs (two empty bedrooms with walk in closets) i'll also be using the closets now.

when i averaged my income from my last perpetual grow, it was around 5000 per month. i can sell lbs for 3200.

also given that i cant find a loan, i will be buying more seeds.

i've been growing for 4 years with many crops under my belt or i would never risk putting all my income based on growing.

My 18 year old brother is also moving in with me for the rest of the year until he goes to college so i will have a person to watch my house since i will now have to get a job.

Sounds to me like you are digging yourself deeper... ask a friend for some help for gods sake, your parents, a good buddy, anyone. Find a job at a fast food place, or better yet walmart...

Sorry, but i'd rather ride it out than ask for money.

and i am getting a fast food job. wal mart drug tests... i tried. i just need a loan to get back what was taken from me.

i wouldn't say getting back my nearly 60k a year business is digging deeper. but to each his own.

if i get the loan all i would have to do is not spend 200$ at the club every weekend to pay for it.

Good luck man, I'm sure you can dig yourself out of this hole. What I would consider doing (depending on where you live) is contacting a clinic, I know some clinics in Southern California will buy most of your herb off you not just that but you go under contract with them so they kinda HAVE to buy herb off you. Which would work out real smoothly.

Can I just say in response to the poor guy losing his job, this is where the Australian social security system is awesome. I take it you're from America where you only get a short amount of time on unemployment benefits for the rest of your life. Can I ask a question? Did you pay any tax while you were working, and now where did that tax go? Please acknowledge that I'm not taking a dig, just a thought about social security systems in general. As for advice, if you haven't found anyone, keep looking there will be people willing to lend money on a hand shake, if you have, I hope you've found your road to recovery. Thanks for reading my codswhallup.

not sure where you're from but most motorcycle clubs will put up seed money, just be careful the clubs that put out that kind of cash are NOT the guys you want to flake on.

Yeah, i know, i've been thinking about it. and the only people who know i grow are my brothers, and my sister in law. i'm thinking it was the person i sell bows to.

Umm? I made 25k a year for a while and I got by just fine. I make 75k a year now and I'm doing great. There are people living off 12k a year. Its called adapting.

It is about adapting, and when you go from like 15k a year at a fast food place, to nearly 60k, and your in your 20's. its hard not to adapt to a better life style. or at least a more expensive one. my car payment, insurance, and gas run me nearly a thousand dollars a month.

Ok.. so def check the friend list. I know the feeling of upgrading your lifestyle with an upgrade in pay but if at the end of the month you have the same amount of money left over- 0 or barely any then youre messing up right there. restructure your financial plan man! for reals! but the more pressing issue about the money.. ya the bikers would be a solid idea depending on your street smarts? i could handle it but do you know what youre getting your self in to?? hmmm school loan? you have a lil brother who should be in school right?? make it happen!! 5gs aint shit for price of going to school these days thats like a semester or somethings worth...

To the OP:

Forget your traditional lending instituitions. No job, No collateral=no loan. There is a nationwide radio talk show called"The Clark Howard Radio Show" This guy is a financial guru and consumer watchdog. Just the other night his program featured ways for alternate lending. There is a company that enables private funds to fund the applicant. Say Joe the plummer
has $70,00 of his personal money to lend. Joe would make the loan directly to you through this company. I really can't think of the name but go to his web site and search past programs. If you default on the loan you'd be burning the private lender(not a good idea) Also the criteria for approval has tightened up a bit. If you have a buisiness model(legal) that's semi-believable I think you have a very good chance at getting a small loan....Good Luck

You say you have "rent" to pay. One naturally assumes then that you are renting from someone that owns the property. Given our economic climate right now many property owners are looking to reduce their monthly overhead and expenses to help guard against those tenants that may lose or have lost their jobs and can no longer pay their rent. One way of accomplishing that is to lower the monthly mortgage payments on that property. And that starts with refinancing those properties to take advantage of lower interest rates. That means those properties will need to be re-appraised and "inspected". A rental unit that has a large grow-op upstairs will soon be discovered. You can say that your landlord never comes around because you always pay your rent on time and handle any maintenance issues on you own and that may be true still...but....if your landlord decides to refinance or even sell the property outright you're going to get busted. Growing in a rental is always a bad idea and with so many foreclosures and refinancing deals going on right now it's just plain stupid. And if you do get busted you run the risk of being sued on top of everything else because your grow-op devalued the property. You'll be longing for those days when coming up with rent and car payments were your biggest money worries. Good luck!
