Important Choice

I have a 120cmx120cmx200cm budbox and im looking to have 8 plants but i dont think my 400w is enough and it has a crappy bundle reflector, what should i do? buy 2 cfl for use in flowering with the 400hps (because i dont think it will penetrate)
or should i buy another 400hps.
i have a ruck 100a extractor fan
p.s i only have £40 left to spend and i can get a 400hps and ballast for £40 or two 125w cfl for £40
Help would be GREATLY appreciated

sorry to give you such a short answer dude but def. go with another 400 watt hps over the cfls it will produce wayyyy more bud gooood luck dude hope all works out

I AGREE! 100% HPS for sure!

go for a 600 they are the most efficient.

he barely needs another 400, not to mention another 600.

Thanks for the reply but do you think my fan can handle it and i still coudnt put the hps closer so penetration would still be the same it would only benefit the top branches.
at least with the cfl's i can get the to penetrate the lower branches by moving them closer.
I thought about selling my 400w hps mh and ballast and buying a 400w but i wont get the prices i want and it will take to much time

nothing penetrates leaf.

i don't know your fan, but if you need more light, you need more light. when flower time comes, buy another fan if you need it.

I have a 230m3 rvk fan and by penetration i mean i can put the cfl on the sides of the tent near the plant lower branches and if i have to buy another fan wouldnt i have to buy another filter

yeah dude the more light the more bud but if heat is an issue then u got some work to do that sounds like quite a small area to have 800 watts going
