lol, I can see it now.
A Colony of Americans on the way to a new star system (travelling in a ship made by the Chinese and Russians) trying to figure out just how cold it is outside the hull in Fahrenheit :dunce:

Just taking the piss
This assumes that at that point in the future, Americans will still FIT into a ship made by the Chinese or Russians. It's okay for me to say, since I'm American.

Those Americans are retarded for leaving. We survived on this Earth long enough. Fuck that new star system.
The hell are you saying? If they leave, we can move in and start claiming what they left behind! Encourage them to go so there's more for us!

I mostly see thin Americans (Hollywood or weed smokers on documentaries, friends that live in the east and such).
But Ya, apparently there is a show about a morbidly obese little girl now?

I think it's human nature hey. South Africans are not exactly all on the skinny side.

I think it comes from attitude. In this country I always see the more is better attitude. People who want more and more, when they've had enough already. I put a stop to it on my end, I adhere to the idea that you can attain enough. Once I stopped trying to keep up with appearances or "Keep up with the Jones'" so to speak, I became a much happier individual. I aspire to have enough to keep me happy and comfortable, and spend more time in pursuit of truly fulfilling things instead of chasing money or trying to buy 5 cars, 2 boats and 3 houses. But if you're fulfilled by large stacks of cash, I guess that's your thing.

C is bullshit. It is less descriptive and easily misinterpreted. How do you possibly misinterpret something so simple?
The difference between 20 C and 25 C is a lot more than the difference between 70 F and 75 F.
F is more descriptive. How do you not get that?

It very often gets below freezing. Forget to add the negative sign? Explain?

Look at a weather forecast map when it is around freezing, negatives cluttering it up.
It is weird and not as descriptive. The difference between 5 and negative 5 C could really fuck your day. If it is negative 5 F or 5 F, it is really fucking cold, no big deal.

The difference between 5 and negative 5 is substantial. Yes it is, but as it works in the metric system it is constant and precise (-4.23'c, 5.0'c).
Yep, but for every day use, it sucks ass at 373 degrees Kelvin.

Looking at a weather map that show temps in C is a mess. Only if you don't understand how it works...
I understand how it works, Chachi. I understand how both work. that is why I prefer F for every day use.

F was the prototype, C is the logical evolution, K is the future :)
Hey, take that site and shove it. I understand C just fine. That is why I know it sucks.
